I always set the Origin Method to "Use Work Part Origin". More often then not that automatically sets the origin to be the same every time unless there are scenarios where you want it to be different, in which case you specify those as needed. But it saves this problem from popping up many times less then it otherwise would. Check it out... might help with horizontal modelling (as you call it) and save some rollback error fixing time. :)
Thanks, select the point and the curve. NX will make a proposal. You will have to use the coincident relation. But that's basic stuff within the trainings. If you need basic trainings or update trainings, let me know. Regards, Simon
Hello, thank you for the video. I have tried unsuccessfully to convince Siemens to retain the CSYS option functionality when creating a sketch since version 1953. With that, the option to re-select the plane also disappeared, yet when reconnecting the sketch this option is there as you show in the video. It's illogical and incomprehensible, but apparently Siemens knows why it does this. Maybe we will see a change at some point. I wish you a lot of success.
@Bizlearn thank you for your valuable content about this, at least for me, hard software to learn. I am a beginner with NX and parametric modeling in general. One of the most hard part I have found coming from non parametric CAD software is to understand the logic behind the relations of sketches with the different part/feature of a design. As a matter of fact it is common for me to believe to have done everything in an appropriate way but, when it is time to update one or more parameters, I get a cascade of warnings/errors. I experimented the same type you showed in this video as well. So, maybe you already did it, but I would like to ask you if you can suggest me a video (of yours or not) or some other resource where to get familiar with this important aspect of this kind of software. Thank you very much in advance, Federico
You're welcome. Thank you for the detailled comment. I understand your situation. Both methods, system kinds have its benefits! Did you have a proper training therefore, or just open source programs like RUclips? Regards, Simon

I know, what you mean, but the option is no more available in the new "Create Sketch" dialog
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training Hmm i checked before i posted that msg in 2007 and it was there. Not sure whats going on there.
nice video,I have a question. How can I dimension from a point to a tanget of a circle?

Hi🤚🏻🤚🏻🤚🏻
What is the superiority in the version of the program nx(cam)1953 and version 2206

I fully agree here! Open a ticket and it'll be recognized. 😉
I do not like new sketcher so I prefer to use the old one. I must check if diameter option is possible.

Hello, How Can I hide the point that appear in sketch origin of sketch
Hi, no u can't. But why do you want to hide that point?
what about 2008? all the different versions! it crazy!
Have you installed the continuous release already and experienced the major and minor update possibility?
Instead of replacing the face, why not just sketch on the Base datum plane and use "Offset from selected" and choose the face of the geometry?
Siemen is so dumb for making the new sketcher unusable
I agree - the first release was chaotic. NX2306 is the first release with just minor problems. Anyway, hard to handle without training. My experience
