Absolutely hats off to Todd for sticking with it and putting a brave face on matey that's some tough conditions you should be proud . Ian was just loving it
Cracking stuff; much kudos for riding in those conditions. We did a ride in the Lakes in similar conditions a few years ago; was tough going but is still talked about fondly to this day.
Oh my god I was watching that and kept lifting my feet up to keep them out of the water , absolute respect to all of you for doing it , well done Todd and Ian 👍
Good job guys. I remember going to Coedy to ride the at the time MBR trail with a buddy in the late 90's in after a night with similar weather. We were the first out on the trail that day. Got to the first bridge, gone! They later replaced it with that long metal one! Found a way across, got to the second bridge, also gone. Managed to ford that one. Spent the next few hours clambering over sections of trail that had just dissapeared. Got back to the old cafe hours later to be informed by Dafydd that the trails were closed as the the route was impassable. No sh1t!. I think thats when they decided to change to the more armoured style trails they currently have.
Brilliant stuff Jim. This is THE trail that's top of my to do list. Need to get up there sometime soon and check this one out. Great job from you, Tod and the other guys. 👍
Looks wetter than a mermaids purse that, also looked great fun and a proper adventure, hats off to you all for braving the conditions and riding, young Tod is amazing, no complaints just got on and rode that's proper hardcore 👍🏻🤘🏼
Wow ! ....... what great conditions to ride in so incredibly exciting when it's like that , clean bikes at the end surely . The power in the water coming down the hill as you rode was awesome it really did look like you were riding through streams not on trails. That cafe at the end looked an amazing ending to the ride too. Despite the weather conditions that was a fantastic guide to a venue I was unaware of and can't wait for us to visit ...... The "mountain bike adventures" show with Anna & Doddy / Richard did was a superbly informative show that highlighted great destinations to visit in the UK with your bike and you guys are doing a similar but self styled version of picking the pieces up of that show we love the terminology mountain bike adventure as that's exactly what every trip should be especially with the kids. MORE of this please Pinned TV
.....fair play to you boys......that was bloody wet ......it’s one thing to have rain....buts it’s another to be riding down river like trails ! .......I’ve watched loads of your great Idots Guide vlogs Jim.......this is what you are best at 👍.........this vid is the perfect antidote to all those dry , sunny , gorgeous trails that have been posted from other parts of the world .
Just watching that got my adrenaline pumping! Smiled all the way through that. Unreal conditions but great vlog! Big up to Tod & Ian for that one 🙌🏻🤙🏼😂 Cracking footage Jim 👍🏼
Great vlog, makes me want to go and ride it again on my hardtail. I did spend alot of time worrying about Ian! I don't know if it's the go pro, but your bikes all make very satisfying and reassuring noises.
Who'd of thought 'fanny packs' would make a come back?... Todd will be telling his mates about that ride and they won't believe him, wish I'd had special times like that with my dad, but he did turn me into a bloody good electrician by the time I was 14! I'm riding deggers next Saturday, was thinking of doing CyB on Sunday on the way home, but might head over here instead, never been. Thanks again Jim.
OMFG that is an outrageous amount of water. Rode there about 5 years ago in July, sort of recognised the place. Big up to Todd and the rest to be honest, I have been that wet and that cold and it ain't no fun once you stop Great video couldn't stop watching
Insane how much water was running across the trails! It's the wettest trail during a heat wave nevermind a storm! Ace vlog though mon. Some proper riding 🤘
Awesome! really captured the adventure mate real mountain biking. Well done to Todd if only I could get my 13 year old daughter to hack a ride like that lol
Proper lads day out Jim that water was scary lol fair play to Todd like you said some men would shy away from them conditions but my hats of to little Ian it must have looked 10x worse at his height lol and it’s lucky he didn’t get washed away 😂 but a fantastic vlog mate enjoyed from start to finish 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧✅✅
And I thought I’d seen Penmachno in the wet, that was incredible, great riding guys! Kudos to Todd and Ian in particular! (I’m girl with dog you showed some awesome trails at Eastridge to today)
Well Jim I doff my cap to you and your fellow riders on this video plus Ian, that was a mental ride in those circumstances. This is my 2nd fav of your collection. The silent movie 1 is still my oscar nominated. I'll bet on a fat bike it would be epic. Floaty Floaty time
Your lad is a legend ,I rode that yesterday ,first ride in 25 years and I'm still blowing out of my arse, if you haven't done it you won't realise what a kid Todd is especially in them conditions , your a very proud dad I bet🤘🤘🤘
That’s a mental amount of water, top respect to you and tod for riding those conditions. My instant thought when you said white water was... what the f**ks he gonna do with Ian! Haha.
We did the long loop a few years back and it was wet, but nothing like this! Those brand new hubs will need an immediate strip down after that. Ian could teach my dog a trick or two that's for sure, what a lad.
Absolutely hats off to Todd for sticking with it and putting a brave face on matey that's some tough conditions you should be proud .
Ian was just loving it
Thanks! He sure was 😂
There's something oddly fun about riding in torrential rain, don't know if it's just a British thing.
That place is wetter than anywhere I’ve seen, how cool are the trails with free flowing water and the blown trees
Standard Penmach conditions then. Must be the wettest trail in the uk... great vid as usual Jim🤙🏼
Cracking stuff; much kudos for riding in those conditions. We did a ride in the Lakes in similar conditions a few years ago; was tough going but is still talked about fondly to this day.
you's are all tuff but Ian's tuffer than anything them little paws running that distance ahhhh, great ride and vid 100% enjoyed.
Oh my god I was watching that and kept lifting my feet up to keep them out of the water , absolute respect to all of you for doing it , well done Todd and Ian 👍
Well done Todd you'll make any Dad proud. Another great vid.
Thanks!
That looked absolutely mental. Hats off to Todd, I'd have given up before getting out of the van. Ian is a legend too.

Fair play to you guys that looked absolutely mental. Todd and your dog🐾👍🏻🤙🏻
The word 'epic' gets over used a lot in MTB, but that looked truly like an EPIC ride!
Just done this trail this morning, saying that it was wet would be a massive understatement, arm bands to the ready next time. Great video guys.
Cheers
That looked absolutely mental! I’m taking my other half for an MTB weekend in north Wales for her birthday, I’ll show her this video first!
Haha yeh, avoid this place in the rain!!
Best video I seen for a while the great British weather classic well done lads.
All character building stuff for Todd.....he's loving it, that's a lot of water.
You should of had a rubber ring for Ian.
Keep them coming Jim !!!
The only time I've been in more water is in a pool!

We were at Bike Park Wales the same day and I thought that was wet! You trumped us big time it was like a desert compared to that video!!

Machno in the wet sorts the men from the boys. But on that savage day, men became MTB Gods ! NICE ONE :D
That is bloody savage. Riding it this weekend and although the weather is looking rubbish I’m not sure it can top that. Wow well done guys
Man that looked horrendous! Poor little Ian, hats off to all of you especially Todd....... Awesome riding
Thank you!
Getting wet lasts a day, but memories are for life! But those brakes, you sound like the hunt pack chasing the fox! 🎺
No avoiding the squeaks in those conditions!
Well done Todd and the pinned crew, remember riding in Wales somewhere and our wheels breaking the ice puddles, soaked to skin bad riding clothing.
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the vid good to see you keeping it real that was wet rain . Your footage was clear though 👍
Looked amazing... respect to you all for getting out in that 🌪🌪🌧🌧🌧
