good stuff ... will work on this ...I've used this technique when desperately trying to reach short balls ...never occurred to me to use it on a low volley !!

It works rather well and is not as difficult as it may look...which is a rarity in tennis. Use their own spin against them!

I really like the advice to go get that ball that is rolled hard at us. I have used that drop volley with good success, but you have helped me understand it much better.

Great lesson, how about volleying the backhand slice at the net.
Simon Plumbridge We could probably do a video on that, however it would be very similar. Get a decent amount of spin along with decent "stick" on your own volley and you should be able to handle most spins.

Need advice to volley - opponent has heavy slice backhand
Solid technique with a firm grip to negate the slice is best off a slice.
