I’m really glad I caught this video. I’ve stayed away from foaming cleansers since my acne days. In fact, I saw the foaming cleanser in the store not too long ago and dismissed it. Good to know it removes makeup and adds moisture that I need. I’m going to try it. Thanks Doc! 😊
I've been using Cetaphil for decades. I try others but always come back to it. I like the Extra Gentle for several reasons: 1) You don't need water to rinse it off so you don't splash water all over the sink. Just a damp washcloth is more than enough. And it leaves a moisturizing film. 2) I have blepharitis and need to wash my eyelids in the shower, it doesn't stink my eyes like the regular cleanser. I guess the masking fragrance is what's bothering me. 3) I have rosacea and it actually makes my rosacea better without having to use any other topicals. 4) It's really a quick way to wash your face and moisturize at the same time in the evening when you're too tired to bother with a fancy routine.
@@KuwaitiHabibiI have combination skin too but my skin feel dry in winter so can I used it too because any facewash I used I got bumps all over my face so😔plz reply
Cetaphil is the winner for me. I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on department store skincare products, and professional skin care products, so I had a good foundation for comparing products effectiveness and texture, etc. I tried CeraVe and was not happy with how my skin felt or looked, so I ended up throwing them out after giving them a fair trail for 3-4 weeks. Neutrogena was the same - not for me. ....and then I tried Cetaphil, and fell in love. Great products, with very good ingredients and most importantly, my skin looks calm, moist, and radiant. I am slowly replacing what I have of my "high end", aka overpriced skincare products, with Cetaphil as I use up my current skincare inventory. My favorite Cetaphil cleanser is the Cream to foam one- absolutely love it. I just go straight to that if I have a light makeup, but still use Clinque's holy grail Take the Day Off cleansing balm when I have a full face of makeup to remove it before cleansing with the Cetaphil Cream to Foam cleanser.
I really love Cetaphil products so i use the gentle cleanser for sensitive skin. I have eczema and psoriasis which i find that this cleanser doesnt irritate my skin on the areas where i have them. Thanks for the video's info doc! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I HAD been using CeraVe for years but recently picked up a travel size of Cetaphil gentle cleanser at Target and love had moisturizing it feels. My dermatologist gave me a sample of the foaming cleanser as well. I think I'll be switching to the gentle cleanser permanently since I have dryer skin (esp. since I'm using a retinol at night). Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the bread down. I believe some other micellar cleansers are from simple water boost micellar facial gel wash, the outset gentle micellar antioxidant cleanser, and bioderma sensibio micellar cleansing oil. Albolene has a micellar cleansing milk and avene tolerance extremely gentle cleanser (both can be wiped off or washed off).
Love the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for my combo in winter, oily in summer skin. So happy they now offer it in a frgrance free formula! This cleanser works year round for me. Great for my also sensitive skin.
Thank you for this video, Dr. Sugai. I'm 41 & have oily/combo skin & I use the Cerave Hydrating Cream to Foam and I must say I really don't like it that much. I will be heading to the store today to buy the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser.
I’m just finishing my first bottle of Cetaphil and I have to say I love!!!! Haven’t had one breakout since I started using it as my only cleanser but I follow it with great skin product follow with 70+ sunscreen!
I bought Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser( glycerin, B5 and B3) in Target and I like it. I will get the daily facial cleanser from Cetaphil , because you right I get oily in Summer( T zone) fragrance free. I love Cerave Cream for my body. I haven’t try the facial cleanser from Cerave, Yet. Thank you, so much.
I've been using the same facial cleanser from Neutrogena for many years now ☺ The Ultra gentle creamy cleanser leaves my skin feeling very soft and hydrated. Take care everyone 🌹
Cetaphil for me. Cerave is kind of strong for a dry weather in Asia. And it's not available in all the malls. You have to order it on line. Makes it even more expensive.
Current favorite combo: Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser followed by Cerave Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser. Often switch that out for Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser bc it’s such a good deal at Costco, esp when on sale. Lately I’ve thrown a sulfur/salicylic acid bar soap into the mix depending on where I’m at in my menstrual cycle, and just the other day picked up the new Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating SA Cleanser with PHA and mandelic acid, which is nice but has a slight smell which I don’t love but don’t hate either.
I would have said cerave; however, recently I used their hydrating cleanser and it tore my face up (massive burning and lingering redness/peeling). I am going to revisit cetaphil again. 😉
Yeah, the Cerave hydrating cleanser works well, but it feels odd on my skin. It doesn’t burn exactly, but there’s this weird warming sensation like the threat of a bad reaction to come. That’s why I prefer the Cerave cream to foam cleanser. Don’t get that sensation at all with that one.
I've been using the Cetaphil foaming cleanser as a hand wash for my dry hands and also as a face wash. I have acne prone skin but its not super oily. I've recently started Duac which is quite drying and I find the foaming cleaner helps with that.
I have sensitive combination skin and for some reason my skin reacts way better with normal to dry skin products. Combination/Oily products have broken me out.
The best dermatologist on RUclips ❤
Cetaphil, hands down. I've been doing exactly as you said, Gentle in the winter, Daily in the summer.
i have combo or oily skin so should i do the same like you??

So true that the “foaming” word confused me a bit yet it’s good for dry skin! Thank you for watching and pls lmk what you think! 🙏🙏🙏

Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream cleanser is hands down the best cleanser I ever used. 🙌🏽💙
+ And I have combination skin!

@@aakanshanepali9074 Hi , not sure what could cause the bumps, most likely not the cleanser. Maybe a retinoid could help with the texture. ❤️
@@KuwaitiHabibicompared to cerave foaming cleanser? I have very oily nosee and it alwaysh have acne
@@lenzzx6663 I would try a Salicylic Acid cleanser or something with Benzoyl Peroxide. I find SA more gentle the BP.

I LOVE Cetaphil and CeraVe skin cleansers!
Definitely Cetaphil over CeraVe as CeraVe stings sometimes. I do switch between Cetaphil, Avene, & Vanicream.
I've noticed the occasional sting from CeraVe as well. I occasionally use a gentle Avene cleanser that is supposed to help protect the skin barrier.
I really love Cetaphil products so i use the gentle cleanser for sensitive skin. I have eczema and psoriasis which i find that this cleanser doesnt irritate my skin on the areas where i have them. Thanks for the video's info doc! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I personally prefer CeraVe moisturizing cleanser

Great informative video. I prefer Cetaphil; CereVe burns my skin. Looking forward to trying new foaming cleanser
Thank you so much for watching and hope you like their new foaming cleanser! Lmk what you think 🙏🤙
I used Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser every evening before going to bed... ❤

UPDATE: I tried the Cetaphil Daily Cleanser & I do indeed like better than CeraVe
I just picked up the NEW CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser and I like it…. I wear makeup so I selected that, so far so good 👍😁

Cetaphil vs Cerave?
Gotta be Vanicream. 😂
Cetaphil without a doubt, I do the Gentle in the winter and the Foam in the summer for my skin type.
OMG!!…Thank you so much Doctor!!…I am so happy to find a cetaphil cleanser that removes water based sunscreen!!..❤️❤️
I've been using the same facial cleanser from Neutrogena for many years now ☺ The Ultra gentle creamy cleanser leaves my skin feeling very soft and hydrated. Take care everyone 🌹

Best gentle cleanser...iska result bohat acha hai...main use kr rahi hu
I use cetaphil for gentle sensitive skin. The best!
I use both Cerave and Cetaphil cleansers and like them both.

Can we use Gentle cleanser twice a day(morning and evening) or once a day(evening)??
How much niacinamide does the gentle cleanser for sensitive skin have?
Foaming this is the only one i have tried i like it I don't know my skin type as of yet i think oily enjoy your videos so helpful and informative 😊
Which cleanser best for sensitive+combination skin?
I've been using the Cetaphil foaming cleanser as a hand wash for my dry hands and also as a face wash. I have acne prone skin but its not super oily. I've recently started Duac which is quite drying and I find the foaming cleaner helps with that.
Wow, looks amazing! I'd love to try it out🥰😘
Just bought the new one and I love it. And it does take off sunscreen and makeup.
I have sensitive combination skin and for some reason my skin reacts way better with normal to dry skin products. Combination/Oily products have broken me out.
Team CETAPHIL!!!!
❤❤explained very well😊❤❤
My skin is a bit dry but I get some oiliness and tiny little white bumps on my nose and chin. Should I use the daily facial cleanser or gentle one?
Cetaphil for me.
I got the gentle one today and it doesn't foam at all... It feels strange like I'm not actually cleaning my face, lol
I have oily skin in summers and extra dry in winters😢which s good for my sensitive acne skin?
Can recommend a cleanser for my 11 yr old granddaughter that doesn’t burn her eyes?
Hands down Cetaphil
3:43 I can two times a day ? Morning and evening
I use the CeraVe cleaner, i didn't try the Cetaphil cleaner. Can i try to use a Cetaphil cleanser when i use otter CeraVe products?
Why do people rarely ever talk about the Oily Skin Cleanser?😢
I bought the gentle cleanser by mistake..can i still use it but i have oily sensitive skin
What about the bar version? I’m trying to use less plastic bottles.

If I’m breaking out in pimples should I use this or use an acne style face wash until it clears up and then go to a cleanser like this?
