I'm not big on horror either, I tried to play it but I couldn't finish it and ended up watching someone else finish it, it's a really a good game but some parts are way too much for me but suit yourself
If it helps you decide, there are like 2 jumpscares in the game that I know of (one being an easter egg) and the story is more mysterious then frightening. There are also a lot of pure characters and moments to balance out the fear factor thats mostly just creepy visuals and grim topics. Im not good with horror but I like this game a lot.
It's not horror for the sake of it, I'll tell you that. Everything has a purpose. It's a worthwhile game even if it's not your typical genre of choice.
you should be more worried about bawling your eyes out then being horrified, though the game can get you there are less scares that jump at you then there is the ever present constant dread of knowing, not knowing, or slowly learning, but hey theirs cute buns
