This series is so much better than the kissing booth, it has some really endearing moments throughout whilst still maintaining the fun highschool romcom feel

The actor who plays Lara Jean's dad (John Corbett) played the love interest in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, a romantic comedy from 2002. On top of him doing a really good job in the role, I always thought casting him as the dad was a nice reference to how popular the rom-com genre was back in the early 2000s
He was also in a show from the early 90s called Northern Exposure. It's an interesting show. John Corbett's character is so endearing and sweet. You all should check it out! It gets weird, but it stays interesting and fun. 😊
Yeah Josh gets screwed over in this series... I don't think it's a spoiler to say he disappears completely after this. Poor guy. I like the actor though, he was good in Happy Death Day. Good Horror comedy, highly recommend
This movie series is this generation’s Pretty In Pink and Sixteen Candles - a movie that is stylized, but has enough elements of truth about growing up that it works. And it has enough identifiable realism without becoming the latest gross out comedy. Not every good teen movie has to be looking for shock value. This is good enough that it doesn’t need it and proof that not all chick flicks are terrible.
To All The Boys I've Loved Before sends out a endearing message to younger people that after all the pining for the person or people they like the most, they will be granted the ultimate satisfactory yet fulfilling relationship/marriage in the end as long as they're patient and willing to do whatever it takes to go beyond.

im literally reading this book rn !! just want to say the book is so completely different the only thing that is the same is lara jean. which is great bc i love and completely relate to her character/personality, it's like two different things though. the book is more deep/sad/realistic though, i was always expecting it to be comtemporary YA like, but it's not and i love it a lot more the way it is. since lara jean is emotional/empathetic she gives you more insight on what the other characters are like. edit: ah~ i cried. when kitty gave her the notes and then again when peter asked her to read the note to him. I think he represents her taking control of her life and not being scared / insecure.

I actually prefer the movie to the book! The movie shows them bonding over their parent drama and I wish the book had that connection 😍 but in the book The “sex tape” was more dramatic. It kept popping up at school and got sped up so it looked like she was actually riding him. 😣And he was actually waiting for Gen in the hot tub which is how she got the video!
I feel the big sister was kinda wrong in how she did Josh I always felt like she had so much more time to break up with him not wait days before she’s leaving off to college
