      What do you mean "head of any space agency" ?? You clearly have never watched NASA and ESA press briefings. Somanath is good and India is lucky to have such a good program manager of ISRO ..and ISRO is doing wonderful things.. but you obviously have never seen technical interviews of NASA scientist. Isro has learned everything from NASA.

I think Bill Nelson is a very smart guy, but look at how deftly S Somanath breaks down the issues in the questions, and is able to put out cogent and coherent responses in realtime, replying in superb detail. As a SpaceX engineer I'm super impressed with what ISRO has accomplished. We always look at ISRO as our benchmark for $/kg launched. No one looks to India as a benchmark when it comes to science and technology. So it is quite astounding that ISRO has managed to break the mould with it's incredible breakthroughs and it's world-class engineers and scientists, Mr. S. Somanath included. Bravo, Gareeb Scientist!!

    Hearing the conversation and details, I know that if we could fund more to ISRO, we could very possibly do things like SpaceX. Although I am not comparing with it, we have tremendous capability from ISRO's point of view. It is just that funds are low, geo-location issues, and things like that. But when you listen to Somnath sir's dialogues, you know why he is the head of ISRO. He is a genius. Man, I wish we could arrange more funds for ISRO.

  • @desistang8794
    @desistang8794 3 месяца назад +3

    For those comparing Falcon 9’s cost-effectiveness: in the U.S., manufacturing and launch costs are high due to labor costs, making booster recovery a significant savings for SpaceX. While ISRO could benefit from recovering boosters, the savings wouldn’t be as substantial because manufacturing and labor costs in India are much lower, which keeps ISRO's launch costs cheaper than SpaceX, even with Falcon 9's reusability. However, developing reusable rockets would advance ISRO's engineering, inspire future generations, reduce ocean waste, and still provide some cost savings.

    The problem with ISRO is that they try to copy recent trend from foreign country and spend couple of decades to achieve that technology but mean time that technology become old and absolute, Same things happened to India RLV programme, they tried to copy space shuttle technology.
    Now they are trying to copy SPACEX Falcon rocket technology. I am sure they will take atleast decade to get that technology and meantime this technology will become old.
    Hence ISRO should come with their own idea and innovation...

    Just tell me why you have decreased the age from 35 to 28 in the recruiting process this time only😡😡😡😡 .... You have shattered many Engineering students dream...who ever has taken this decision... Karma will show you... Those all students heart are cursing those officers who have decided to do this..
    . For General candidate... Only below 25-26 years of students can apply for scientists .... This is not Equality 😡😡😡😡😡😡😞😔😔
    You have changed age limit this time... This is not done. 😡😡😡🤣
    This time vacancies were So many... And you destroyed students dream... Already from last 4-5 years there were no vacancies after 2018😡😡😡😡 and suddenly you decrease age limit
