I'm a 15-year-old UTR 5, so take my advice lightly, but I think when you're hitting kick serves, your ball toss is too far in front. You also jump at an angle to make contact with the ball (which isn't bad-many players do that-but I don't think it's optimal for kick serves, as it could cause a double fault in tight matches). I'm sure you're aware of this since you analyze your matches (I analyze mine too), but my coach always told me it's better to let the ball toss be above your head on a kick serve so you can really drive up on the ball and make your opponents uncomfortable. You also mentioned that your serve was lacking, so I understand you weren't serving as well as you could, but I just wanted to point that out. I look forward to watching your mixed doubles and singles final video!
thank you for your advice! the funny part is i wasn't even aiming for kick serves, but that's just how my toss has been and it forces to me to hit the serve like that. However, it's been a few weeks since, and I've been able to fix it! thanks for the advice though! I'm always open to hearing suggestions from anyone no matter their level or age :)
it's quite a big controversy and there's a lot as to why I use a two-handed over a one-hander. However, the shortest explanation is that it's a part of my game that I'm most comfortable with and used for all of my tennis career! I've found a lot of pros and cons, but for me a two-handed works a lot better than a one-hander :) I hope that helps explain it a little bit.
Great playing Britney! I just stumbled onto your video..I’m a college coach and was wondering where you played your college tennis? Also why did the tourney not have a chair umpire or even a roving umpire in the semifinals of a money tournament?? That is NOT right. The USTA needs to be better in these situations.
hi! i never attended or played for college. I'm currently an amateur on the tour and just focusing on playing futures at hte moment. A majority of the local money tournaments from USTA don't normally have umpires so it wasn't anything that I expected from them! Their hoping to make the event bigger next year, so maybe they'll bring umpires as well :)
@ oh ok that’s too bad, IK the futures tournaments hav umpires, but needless to say, I wish you the best of luck in all your tourneys and hope to see you on the WTA stage soon!! Keep grinding Britney!!!
Amazing wins!! And I could not give you any tips on your game because you are better than I will be in 100 years 😅 But I do have a suggestion for your mindset. I don't think you know how strong you are, I think if you realized that on that court you are the thing to be afraid of and that you have the skills and knowledge to adapt to any opponent so you can overcome them it would help with the nerves.
Love the camera angle I feel like a spectator, that swing vision helps too, good luck on the rest of the tournament. 🐱 cat
Great hitting from everyone. The quality of ball striking is really high.
super fun tournament so far!
Rooting for you from Melbourne Florida. Hope you get to come play in Florida someday.

@ yw!
congrats! btw 3:22 哎哟握草 😆
haha i didn't even realize! thanks :)
WHY do you have a two-handed forehand? I think it prevents you from hitting the ball with more pace on that side.
