These machines Have been built by Leonardo da Vinci when he was young
That's how I like my bolts. Made out of old rusty iron.
This reminds me of a friend who used coat-hanger wire as a welding rod when arc welding engine mounts to his car. The welds looked just fine, but after a few weeks of driving, the engine fell out and ended up lying on the road! The motto of the story is: metals may look the same, but some are a *lot* stronger than others. Recycling is great, and I admire these folks' ability to improvise, but I'm not sure I'd want to trust anything important to those bolts, that's for sure.

Did they wrap the coat hanger in wet paper towel?
You know there's different grades of bolts right?
Rebar is generally a high carbon, high strength steel, not "iron". These machines are antique units from U.S. factories used in the 60's. These are probably better quality/stronger bolts that you would get out of today's manufacturing processes.
I was more impressed with the comments than I was with the video itself
It's a good thing that they're all wearing their safety flip flops.
I’m sure the quality conforms with ASTM specifications! After all, they use only the best quality scrap rebar!
satisfying amounts a crap on the floor. nice!
forget about the product, but the techniques used in the machines are quite impressive, especially the machine, that work as a buffer station arranging and aligning bolts before thread rolling works completely mechanical without any sensors .5:03
After a working lifetime in engineering I am fascinated by the raw skills these men have, I also cringe at the total lack of safety. How they keep all their fingers and toes is a miracle. I salute you all and I also pray for a better life for you.
"(...) How they keep all their fingers and toes is a miracle (...)"
No miracles. Most of them minor injuries get constantly, some of them lose toes and especially fingers time to time.
It happens to lose a hand or all the body is pulled in to a rotating machine and... minced.
After serious accident the injured worker immediately... fired, the owner hires a new one. The only requirement for a new worker is to have 10 fingers and 10 toes. The boots, goggles, uniforms are welcome (if you have your own), but not obligatory.
However, they get good salaries - $25-50 in a week; and get absolutely no pensions when retired.

Amazing bolt video 💜💙❤🧡
And this here folks is how you get bolt grade less than 8.8. At least now we know where they're coming from
Probably stamped 8.8 though
For those who are impressed, let's replace all the bolts in your car using these made by these gentlemen.
Haha, definitely! It would be a shit show!
Look like its from Pakistan..
i dread to think how long they lasted before failing.
i often wondered who still used or produced whitworth threads.
307A. Do u suck ur cars bolts dicks much?
All ur water mains could care less what ur lamborgini needs to keep the wheels on.

looks like ancient 19century brittis engineering.
Wow wonderful invention of Machines
Realy amazing and obsolutely hard work for their bread
Excellent!!
Wow amazing work 👍
Looks good enough for a home depot bolt bin 😂😂😂
OSHA Approved!
West Midlands industry still going strong
Very good!
👏👏👏👏
Wow it's amazing 😊
I made bolts for Bethleham Steel in Lebanon PA and our machines did all the steps with one machine.
Excellent video ! 👍
So these bolts are at best 4.2 which might hold parts of your washing machine together.
Maybe they do yeah...
excellent thanks
British Empire left a fantastic legacy behind, still going strong !
¡Genial!
Like amazing machine using scrap to a mass production of bolts
Might be ok to hold one of the trucks made from scrap together.
Now is clear why we have airplane disasters , buildings falling and clutch fault :))
Fantastic. And cold formed and pressed bolts get some case hardening. For tempering, these bolts would have to be taken to another facility for heating in furnace and controlled cooling and anealing. The furnace guy probably has an operation a block down the street, take left turn.
Very nice Enterprise, and a very nice way of dividing "manufacturing specializations" into small low investment operation. Takes a lot of courage and devotion.
These are not the explosive bolts used between stages of a Saturn 5 rocket, so don't be so critical.
I ran a header at Huck mfg for ten months. The blanks I made were then rolled and heat treated for a certain tensile strength, but it only works on carbon bearing alloys. You cannot heat treat soft iron such as rebar is made of. It has no carbon because it's soft on purpose so the knurling surface texture can be easily pressed into it. That knurling is what the concrete grips onto when it cures. Soft iron is totally the wrong alloy to make bolts out of.
@@vincentwade1 this factory doesn't work towards market-failure. It's working towards shipping and returns...
For the last 150 years.
Application time concerns are left to the market "space"....where Caveat Emptor is the rule.... Nevermind
@@droverslane4678reo is quaity steel that is heat treated for full tensile strength
Work hardening has nothing to do with case hardening 😅
@@vincentwade1reo bar isn't iron it's steel , best do some studies
Bravo 👍

Proses produksi yang luar biasa
This stuff is back from the British occupation era and still going well 😊
Mantul kreativ 👍👍
Mesin sederhana menghasilkan teknologi yg luar biasa.
Very easy and simple technique.
Very satisfying.
Next time when a bolt snaps i will remember that video
Beautiful vlog
Helped e alot
Amazing!
Using trash to make garbage! Amazing!!
No safety gear, great job
Very nice Grade .5 bolts…
Good work
These bolts must have a heated threat to use on heavy duty equipment. Otherwise they just can use on bicycles or small household stuff only.
Amazing….
Lol the bolts holding the schoolbus brakes on came from there.
OSHA would shut this place down in a heartbeat.
Luckily they don't need a license to work and feed themselves.
@@topduk It would be hard to find workers like that in the US.
Very interesting
Amazing job

I like this
Thats some Dollar Store bolts
Good
👍👍
These bolts must come with a warning: "Do not tighten the bolt. Risk of failure! For decorative purposes only"
May be for ordinary purposes, not for high tensile uses in machinery..
@@Abc-qk1xt May..... :-)

Since you're so Amazing, Why don't you make your own products and let those trying continue to contribute to society and evolution or shut your mouth.. show us what you've done better than this guys

Guys, this video is 100% genuine.
ye technology mere khyal se 15-20 saal purani ho chuki hai India me sayad hi kahi dekhne ko milegi.
this is in Pakistan

Bahut achcha
Grande. Esperienza.....👀👍✋🖐️🇮🇹
Wow brylian
Look at these workers who are doing dangerously unsafe work with no leather safety boots no leather gloves no goggles for eyes while welding no protective clothing 😊
The most important part on every step is to throw everything to the ground 😂
I'd love to see batch tests of the tensile strength of these bolts.
I bet that would be some shocking reading.
Rebar is decent quality carbon steel, it's designed to be strong in tension.
As long as the bolts are annealed correctly they should be ok.

Bolts with the tensile strength of rebar 🤤🤤

Very niece videot
WOWW the way it works is really good

Nice 💘
Whether these bolts have the required fastening binding strength ???
Anna m
Didn't you see the first process where the iron was stretched and straightened out... that's also the strengths test.
aeronautical grade bolts yo! lmao
Makes you wonder how long ago they made those machines in Birmingham?
lol
About 100 years
👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👏👏👏 SUPER
Thakns for watching❤️
And this is why I don't like purchasing bolts from foreign countries

I wonder what grade those are
Grade ooooooo absolute junk
The production methods are the same, but the quality is another question. They show their efforts to reach our level, but the main problem is social and growth of people
Damn, can we get my guy some close-toed shoes for working in the pile of rusty metal?! And some ear protection for that matter.
Fine production of Grade 0 bolts.
