An ageing mother is worried about her only son, Harsha, who doesn't believe in marriage and has no intentions of giving up his wayward lifestyle. She's about to give up on him, when she meets Bhuvaneshwari, a small town Kannada teacher, who loves the land and its language, and is everything that Harsha is not. In a final bid to make her son fall in line, she devices a plan that leaves Harsha shocked as shell! will he abide by her wishes? Can Bhuvi make him a changed man?

Kannadathi is one of the best serial in Colors Kannada.. Kiran Raj-Ranjini Raghavan is the best pair.. Their dialogue delivery, acting are unbeatable.. Varudhini's psycho character is just entertaining.. Rathnamala, Sanvi, Prathibha, Thapsi, Adithya, Dev, Varalakshmi, Suchithta all characters are very nice.. But one thing you can make in Bhuvi's dialogues use pure kannada words please.. like,
Thermometer - Ushnathamapaka
Temperature - Ushnathe
Patient - Rogi
Mobile - Charavani
Hospital - Oushadhalaya
English - Aangla bhashe..
Ee shabhadagalu kelalu silly annisabahudu.. But Ranjini Raghavan avara daniyalli kelalu tumba sogasagiruttave..
