I am Christian and I really admire Hindu ancient spirituality, specially this mantra, which I recite every morning.
When I was in school, we used to pray this song. Then i didnt know the meaning and its essence but now i have realized what our teachers were teaching was so wonderful.

I love this chant, I first learned it years ago and at times I still chant it. I loved hearing it sung so nicely, I think I will start chanting it more often. It really does make me feel peaceful. It is universal and anyone of any faith can benefit spiritually from it.

From untruth (cd be read as Illusion) lead me to the Truth;
From Darkness lead me to the Light;
From Death lead me to Eternal Life.
All Sanskrit prayers end with Om Shanti, shanti, shanti.

This sanskrit shlokas( stanza) comes from Hinduism upnishad (sacred books dedicated to enlightenment)
These shlokas means:-
1. Take me from illusion (untruth illusionary fake world) to truth.
2. Take me from darkness(the state of illusion) to light(enlightenment, wisdom and knowledge).
3. Take me from death (fear) & (desires of body) to immortality (no fear, soul is immortal).
4. Om (this word is dedicated to Bhagwan(God)) Peace Peace Peace
Basically knowing about the one omnipresent - Shri(Lord) Krishna who is the creator, preserver and destroyer, one who does not born or die, who has created this Maya ( illusionary world), who holds universe in himself, the one who is the most beautiful, most loving. Krishna is the truth, light and immortal presence. He was present before and will be after the end of this universe. He is time.
He does not belong to only Hinduism but he is the presence and symbol of love. Krishna is not an earthly being or person but everything comes from him. One can only know Krishna only after knowing the truth.
