My best friend and drummer in my old band was one the best and was courted by many recording artist of the time, but he was a family man and stayed on the down low. My son loved Bill like I did and became a great drummer in his own rite. Bill (my old Drummer looked to Russ Kunkel as one of the best, but Felix could all them lesions.
This series is like a crash course in good music.

They are VERY good and it's live dude, not so many bands nowdays can record without making mistakes and with all that groove, the drummer is awesome, bassist is solid, Miller is superb, the singer too is doing a great job, keyboard guy is simply flawless. Or you are not a musician or you don't know what you are talking about!!!!

Good music, horrible performance, sorry. I know Copeland is a hard act to follow, but this dude has 0 groove. Everyone plays so incredibly stiff and the vocalist sounds he got lost on his way to some emo band audition.

He is so tight, different than Copeland but very groovy, then if you don't like it that it's fine but there is no way you can say he doesn't have the groove.

I’ve only just discovered this phenomenal band on RUclips and have enjoyed every second of watching these masters at their craft. Yes, the drummer is top class of course as mentioned so many times in the comments, but the rest all deserve full merit too - from the keyboard wizard in his pyjamas with his amazing old-school set-up (how I dream of owning a rig like that?!), the solid bassist who clearly enjoys making it look so simple yet is highly accomplished, to the simply sublime voices of both the lead singer and Martin on lead guitar, who of course is also a true master with 6-strings. Although I love watching cover bands in the local venues, I wouldn’t normally watch one online, but these guys just do it so well and they’re a pure joy to watch. Hats off to the film crew too who manage to capture the passion in each musician so well in such a humble environment. A true treasure amongst the massive field of dross on RUclips. Keep it up guys.

@@soopermich me today. But then, Pink Floyd fans are a different lot than Police fans, I guess. Stew Copeland was a busier player than Nick Mason, and your average listener doesn't understand what it's actually like to play at a high level of competence, but they're all critics, just the same.

Every one of these medley's have put a smile on my face. I've returned to replay all of them many times. Just saw the 80's medley for the first time and loved it. Capturing the essence with a different spin on every tune. Well done guys !!

Love the addition of the Hammond organ to the Police's traditional 3-piece sound! Adds a lot of character and doesn't sound out-of-place at all.

This singer was better in the Queen medley, I think his voice was just better for those songs. And yes, Sting is a legend for vocals, bass and songwriting. I was lucky enough to see him in concert, he was fantastic.

RUclips couldn't have picked a worse place for the first ad. Right into the transition of walking on the moon, just butchers the entire thing. Definitely one of my favorite medleys.

Copeland is not an easy act to follow

Everyone suffers from sleeplessness at some point in their life.
There's just so much going on nowadays, so many problems in the world and it's so overwhelming.
You end up lying awake at night dreading falling asleep because then you'll wake up and have to face the world again
At the same time, I often find myself staying up late because I feel like that's the only time that I have to myself, to carve out a little peace in the day.
This mix is for those moments in the night. To escape your worries for a little while and just drift away with the music.
The drumming is great on this medley, love that snare sound.

Agreed, he brings some of that high energy style playing Stewart did. In fact, he is like a mix of Stewart and Neil Peart, I see some of both in his style. And that's two drummers most hold in highest esteem.

Fantastic, impeccable arrangements... Songs perfectly performed very well.
Some jams here and there are added that weren't in the original songs. People across the board may not appreciate that, but I like how it showed the band's talent.

Given someone may not like the interpretation of the covers, how could someone still give this a thumbs down given the mastery of the musicians involved. Rock on guys.

Every time I watch and listen to a new medley in this series , my respect for this band increases. What incredible performances and everyone is so spot on. Rhythm , lead, bass , drums, keys and vocals - there’s no weak link.
Even the camera work and audio engineering is superb!

As a Police Fan ( including those in law enforcement ) since the early 80's, I am in tears watching this performance ; so much energy and feel. You have given a breath of new life into the originals with your own interpretations. Sadly, my buddy is not here with me to share this experience. Born in the 60's - perhaps another rendition of "Born in the 50's" would fare well to close the chapter.
The whole lot of them are superb, but I feel credit is especially due to Benni on the bass, walking on the moon was spectacular! Takes years to perfect that kind of subtle improvisation!

@@MartinMillerGuitar Narrowing down your song choices there would almost be as hard as playing the actual songs - you don't get to have a career as long (50 years, or only 44 if you only include the Neal Peart years) and as notable as Rush's without having a *lot* of amazing music in your repertoire. I don't envy you that task, but I look forward to the result!
