I know. Society really puts a lot of pressure on the decision making process! Especially when it comes to tastes of milkshakes. It's too much. I'll just stick to homemade.
Fun fact: in Indonesia, Pizza Hut serves milkshake and I think I got my first milkshake ever from them. They taste like chocolate milk but thicker, very slurpable. Another fact: McDonald's doesn't have milkshake here!

I work at culvers, it's going to be thick and have chocolate syrup streaked in there because we mix in chocolate syrup to vanilla milkshake base. We have to use a literal mixer for it. They are supposed to give you a straw and spoon though.

I think it's a custard that's been thinned out with milk. They didn't really train me that much at all. But I'm going to say it's the custard but thinned out

An Arby’s milkshake is literally the best thing on menu I used to have a strawberry banana milkshake. That was my go to when I was younger.

4:11 I used to work at Culver’s, and (at least at my location) having “tiger stripes” on the inside of the chocolate milkshake cups was frowned upon. Only the most skilled of milkshake makers, such as yours truly, were able to avoid this pitfall. Culver’s of Nebraska, try harder.
My favorite shake is sonic but I think I’m gonna have to reevaluate that. I haven’t tried cold Stone creamery milkshakes.
Also, when I was a kid, we would always get pizza from Pizza Hut then we will swing by Dairy Queen and get blizzards and pizza and ice cream is a winning combination

13:15 i worked at mcdonalds for 5 years and whenever we put the new chocolate syrup bag into the milkshake machine line, the first few milkshakes taste very potent and like the fake hersheys chocolate syrup. it gets better after the first few though lol (priming the line was supposed to fix that but it never fully did).

Burger King in Puerto Rico had strawberry milkshakes. They were my favorite.
Baskin Robbins was a closed second but their milkshakes are more in line with what you would have if you made it at home. Watery, flavor profile is low, no artificial syrup, just the flavor of the ice cream watered down with milk.

i used to work the custard station at culvers and we unfortunately had a premixed milkshake machine :( but i used to put extra milk because people would complain about the thickness ALLL the time

I keep my McDonald’s milkshake in the fridge overnight, and the next morning, oil had separated. So that explains a lot. I still drank it and enjoyed it, but just know that it contains oil.
Fun fact: in most places McDonald's milkshakes are made with powdered milk, that's why it taste like chemicals.
