The Colts. It's not even close. The Texans didn't get any headliners at all, but they also head the best off-season so did they even need starters? Yes, but they should still run away with this division unless AR5 lives up to expectations.
Hey, this entire video was amazing & thorough, especially discussing the late picks by the Texans & T'Vondre Sweat. You really explained why you think he won't be a consistent starter in the NFL. The Titans were having a great off-season too getting Snead & Ridley.
Then the Chargers scooping up Joe Alt before them seems to have hit them hard & it's almost as if this gave them a sinking feeling & their draft was a little underwhelming.

Texans got help in the secondary... help at O line to protect Stroud... and reunited Stroud with Stover... and these picks can free up a lot of cap space in a couple years if they take over as starters.

Jags fan here. I wasn’t thrilled with the Masson Smith pick because 1) I feel they shouldve aggressively traded up for Newton or Kool-Aid, barring that though 2) Kris Jenkins and Michael Hall Jr were still available.
Jefferson was a crazy reach and I’d have thought an Edge here, IOL or TJ Tampa would’ve been a better choice

I wasn't happy at first, but after some research, it makes sense to pick him. Jax added the dc of LSU which was probhably the reason they took 2 dt from LSU. Last season Smith had a lack of production because they used him wrong. The LSU DC (which is a jaguars coach now) wanted to play him as a 3 technique but the positional coach wanted to let him play inside (where he played much worse than when he played as a 3 before) Some guys said that before the injury and before they played him wrong he had first round talent.

I’m happy getting the best pass rusher at 15. So tired about people talking about his injury 2 seasons ago!!! Also I had AD Mitchell as WR3-5 in the draft. He fell due to an interview or personality traits 🙄 same people saying CJ Stroud had issues lol 😂 these. I’m glad the Colts didn’t listen to the BS talk!

Masson Smith is now in a stable situation with his old d-coordinator, he can fully recover from his injury, AND Arik Armstead is there to teach him, AND Ryan Nielsen is amazing at bringing out the best of defensive lineman, so I think he can be great

If every semi highly rated DT/NT went at about the same pick but the all knowing "consensus boards" had them higher, whos wrong?
If you needed one with a late second round pick, they were GONE regardless of some redditors board. This is genuinely stock market speculation levels of uninformed armchair invester vs. hedge fund.

    • @chopsnz88
      @chopsnz88 17 дней назад

It was a reach, Titans didnt have a 3rd due to Levis trade which forced them to reach on a prospect that was 3rd-5th round value. Their were other players on the board Kris Jenkins, Adonai Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, JPJ that were options.

If he gets down to 350 & absorbs the right mindset to keep improving, because none of these players are finished products & now in a different environment, then this could be a solid pick down the road. & this helps Big Jeff & the other lbs to hunt the qbs & be free since sweat is hogging the line up with explosion potentially.

Nah I love the pick. If the nfl is going to allow the tush push. U need an equalizer. The Titans now have 3 or more players on the defensive line weighing 320+ lbs.(2 of the 3 weigh 360.) Constantly collapsing pockets. Aggressive press corners. I love it.

Titans were probably thinking (with sweat) was to get sweat double teamed and then let Jeremy Simmons do his work. Jerffry Simmons with a 1v1, Simmons would likely win. So sweat can eat blocks and let Simmons do his thing.

I like the JC Latham pick based on need for LT, Sweat is risk/reward player but feel was a reach and Titans could of waited till the 4th round. Feel they should of taken Adonai Mitchell or JPJ at 38. Cedric Gray and Jarvis Brownlee Jr I like those picks. Dont understand taking Jha'Quan Jackson when Malik Washington was available.

Kamari Lassiter is perhaps the slowest cornerback in this draft. I do not see how he can be effective in the NFL without elite speed.
Blake Fisher would have benefitted by another season at Notre Dame. A reach in the 2024 draft.
Calen Bullock looks more like a cornerback than a safety.
Cade Stover is career back-up at tight end.
The rest look like project players.
    C grade, at best.

LMFAO you dropped Sweat on your board by 72 slots after his DWI (from 79 to 151) and that is why you question the pick??
Pretty ignorant if I'm being honest - either this is a slam dunk pick by Tennessee with question marks (ala Jeff Simmons) or it blows up in their face (ala Isiah Wilson)
You can't quantify that kind of risk by dropping their big board rank. The talent speaks for itself,
