Thanks for the comments me, Guy Vaughn and Kechia Jenkins wrote this back in the fall of 86, this song was actually an accident, Kechia was actually at my studio to sing backgrounds for Eddie Stockley, when Eddie and my partner Guy went to the store, I was playing around with a Bass line on the Juno-106 with a drum beat I programmed on the SP1200 and Kechia kept singing that hook. By the time Guy and Eddie came back I had recorded it and played it for them, and the next day we finished writing the song and the demo and the rest is history
