In Magic: the Gathering, Red is the undisputed king of doing damage. Red is so good at it, that it regularly receives cards that let you multiply or augment damage. In this video, I take a look at the best cards that led you augment or modify damage.

Torban, Embercleave... PTSD from mono red in 2019/2020 intensifies.
The reason I am so absurdly late to the party is because I was hit by someone who stacked all of these cards and was nearly obliterated. Luckily I survived, and am now here to ask for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!
I know it's nearly impossible to cast in most games, but pretty amazing the ONLY card that triples damage (Fiery Emancipation) isn't on the list. But also shows double or even minor increases to damage outlet is more than enough.
City of fire, too
mechanized warfare too
@@andrewlacosse2096 Mech, might have suffered from being in Brother's War. That's a nice card actually.
@@montefrenkel8205 City ON Fire, haha, I had trouble finding that with that one spelling error.
Yeah that cards pretty nice when you get to the convoke. Also suffers from being in a bad set. I'd probably play that over my Fiery Emancipation, which I have in a deck with Obosh. It makes tons of creatures and would make putting the City out pretty easy. Hmm, thanks for the input.
Jeska thrice reborn also triples damage but didnt make the list
I made a Goblin-Pinger for Gratuitous Violence. Goblin Piledrivers, Embermages, and Siege-Gang Commanders are all creatures with direct damage abilities that get doubled. Had curve issues I didn't want to spend the money to solve, though.
City on Fire is definitely my favorite. Puts in work in my Chandler EDH deck.
I prefer Ross, personally.
Torbran, or however you spell his name, the red Eldraine dwarf
Edit:
Ayyyy, I even spelled it right, man, I remember that standard, I know it wasn't always like this but it felt like every game perfect curve embercleave into Torbran the next turn.
Your mom is the red Eldraine dwarf.
My favourite thing to do in commander games is combining Gisela, Blade of Gold night with Heartless Hidetsugu to kill the table all at once 😂
!!! I just picked one up... running with solphim, Archfiend of despair, bloodletter of Aclozotz, and wound reflection. Mogis control deck for me. Can't wait to test it on Saturday.
For me it's Marton Stromgald. Adds +x/+x to each creature attacking, where x is the number of attacking creatures.
Awww, was hoping for MTG card history vid :(
Top 10 is still good and enjoyable, just miss the card history vids
That'll be coming back the week after next. That series always skips a 2-3 weeks around set reviews.
2:27 I once goldfished Extended Elves and was able to deal over 700 damage on turn four due to Pyromancer’s Swath. 😂
I had serious mandela effect. I thought sagas were much older than they are. 😂
How come, if Torbran was such a spotlight character, didn't we get the ax, HES DIPICTED WITH, as an actual Equipment card? (Either time we went to Eldraine?)
Solphim, Mayhem Dominus is missing I think! ; )
Also wound reflection (at the beginning of each end step, each opponent loses life equal to the life they lost this turn).
Archfiend of despair. Does the same thing but is also a 6/6 demon creature with flying and opponents can't gain life.
Bloodletter of Aclazotz (flying vampire demon. If opponent would lose life during your turn, they lose twice that much life instead. Damage causes loss of life).
I play a mogus control deck.
And I just picked up a Heartless Hidetsugu. I'm gonna be so happy when I take out the whole table in 1 turn, and not by just playing 20 cards in 1 turn.
Was hoping when I saw this, that it would help my Leisa deck. No luck. 😢
Also to damage reducing effects.
i got a mono red deck with:
feiry emancipation
fire servant
mana flare
gauntlet of might
fireball
fanning the flames
crackle with power
banefire
ragavan, nimble pilferer
24 lands. 36 nonlands.
lol @ Insult to Injury being in exactly 2023 decks on EDHrec
I mean yeah, Insult gets around the *damage prevention* effect of The One Ring, or it WOULD, if you were capable of targeting that player in the first place.
You can still attack
Insult doesn't target.
How are Ojer Axonil and Fiery Emancipation not on here?!
You forgot to put the topic in the title! 'Cards that augment damage' is more specific than 'tons of damage '.
pour one out for furnace
I wish my like was worth double
Double likes? RUclips would have to instaban that to preserve the Meta
Even if the One Ring can't prevent damage from Insult/Injury, I thought you still couldn't target the player with it.
Insult doesn't target
@@NizzahonMagic Injury does, though. That's weird.
Quick question: Proliferate + Saga chapter counters, does that work... ?
Yes
You can proliferate ANY counter…
nice
What the heck is Rem riding? Half horse, half stork?
It’s a hippogriff
It's a griffin from Innistrad. They are stork-like there.
@@poiri For example, see the card loyal gryff (type line: hippogriff)
Half-heron, as herons are sacred on Innistrad, and the local hippogriffs all have a heron for their bird half. 😊
Objection. The list is top 10 MULTIPLIERS
Torbran ADDS damage. Not multiplirs
@0:21 I think there are more than 59 cards that do this.
There aren't.
@@NizzahonMagic I apologize... I should have said "It feels like there are more than 59 cards that do this"
All that aside... Love your videos. Thank you for everything
Yea I wonder if some wording of cards might have missed some that have the affect but say stuff like " each opponent loses life equal to the life they lost this turn (damage causes loss of life).
The music at the end is SO FUCKUNG LOUD!
Please balance it.
