  • The Bolon, who live in isolation in the southwest of Burkina Faso, are cut off from all other populations in the country. Living in mud houses with terraced roofs, this original community continues to perpetuate its culture, architecture, religion, music, song and dance with impressive masks, while practicing the art of divination.

    People don't realize some of what they are seeing is ancient culture that existed for 1000s of years. Africa has brought ancient human experiences into the new world.

      They need to learn to keep important secrets about the village from their young age. Keeping secrets has saved many villages from destruction in the past. It is much better to be scared to keep secrets than to be wiped out by an ennemy. These kids will go through many different types of initiation during their growth. This helps the elders know who is who and who can be given which responsibility when they grow up.

    • @mathieuyaro1743
      @mathieuyaro1743 2 месяца назад +1

      C'est une manière de les initier.
      Tu as vu que ces enfants étaient tous des garçons.
      Ce qu'on leur a appris ils ne doivent pas parler de ça à leurs mamans.
      Pour cela il faut les effrayer ainsi.
      Les masques que tu vois sont passés par là d'où le verbe initier a tout son sens.
      Donc bani cette idée de dire qu'ils doivent pas effrayer les enfants.
      C'est comme ça que ça se passe chez eux et c'est leur culture.et dans la tradition africaine rien ne se fait au hasard.
      Je pense qu'avec la nouvelle décision du gouvernement d'Ibrahim Traoré,les africains du Burkina Faso retrouveront la plénitude de sa tradition.
      Vive la culture africaine
      Vive la culture de l'AES en particulier celle du Burkina Faso.

      Quand on ne t'apprend pas la peur,le devoir de garder les secrets de la communauté,tu seras celui qui vendra ta communauté pour pas grand chose,ce sont ces âmes offusquées qui signent avant embauche de ne jamais divulguer les secrets de l'entreprise sous peine de prison, où est la différence à part le folklore qui existé partout, l'initiation manque aux Africains.

    Odd to see 'superstition & occultism' dominating some Africans in 2014.
    Well, not really, as it's occurring in USA also.

    • @desmondwhyte4252
      @desmondwhyte4252 2 месяца назад

      Your comment of superstition and occultism dominating some Africans in 2014 is the result of you being illiterate to the customs/culture of the natives. If you are of African decent born and living in another country (US, UK etc.) then you'll make the comment you did. When I use the term "illiterate" I'm not saying you can't read or write, I mean you lack the basic knowledge and understanding of those people way of life. Most people of African decent makes comments that are results of their way of life in the countries that they live in and which are the products of their lack of their ancient ancestral original culture. Many of what is termed superstition and occultism are that which are unknown to the critic. Religion is the greatest superstition and occultism, and many will disagree with what I say but, they can and will never factually prove me wrong. It all comes to opinion which can be either institutionally taught and or self formulated from one's views
