    Fascinating to watch! Would like to see how to replicate the curved bottom corners of the jacket.

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  6 месяцев назад

      Just cut the curve & do the same thing. You can make it any shape you want really.

      Thanks for watching today. There are a few ways to do this but I think this method is easy to understand.

    Thank you, I appreciate your steps for finishing hem and lining. Very useful information. But, I liked the original better than the after. It seems disproportionate at shoulders (wide) and hips (too narrow) in relation to the length of the jacket. It's all a matter of personal preference. Thanks for the video.

    I love how you explain things. Do you have any advice for how to shorten the sleeve lengths on blazers? I imagine it's similar to this -- but if buttons are involved, is it just not going to work?

    Perfect…now let’s fix the arm-pits that are too low. 😊

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ahhhh now that’s tricky unless you want to take in the sides & sometimes you can’t fix that unless you add extra fabric there.

      @@SewAnastasiais there a “plan B”? its arm-pit up or take off the shoulders. I think its juuust big enough to do a little bit of an adjustment. LeChateau blazer i cant wear…..sigh.

    What type of steamer do you have!?

  • @xxx-il9dv

    Could you have left the lining loose? Rather than stitching the lining and the finish fabric together?

    • @pamelaernst5197
      @pamelaernst5197 6 месяцев назад +1

      Could have but in mho it wouldn’t look good or function well.

    • @SewAnastasia
      @SewAnastasia  6 месяцев назад

      Sure but the inside of this jacket was not finished on the edges so you would want to go in there and finish all the edges so you so not have frayed edges and you would probably want to bias bind some of them. It is more work then sewing it back how you found it. I feel like floating linings work best in skirts, dresses and long jackets.

    You shouldn't shortened that much, because now the pockets are really close to the bottom and it doesn't look good.
