- I head down to Seattle Washington to do some fishing on Lake Washington. I fish just outside of lake Union near the University of Washington on Marsh Island near the Arboretum. Fishing was pretty slow and I my drone took a dunk in the water (which killed the drone). I did manage to catch a mid teen common carp. This was the first time I have been carp fishing in Washington State.

@@EngineeringHooksets South Platte has them and people get them on flies. Check out youtuber carpquest. He's in Colorado. If you reached out to him I'm sure he'd take you out to get your first carp. Carp guys love growing their sport.

@@abramgarrity7559 That is an interesting combination. In states where you can use multiple rods it's nice to have the carp rods out and while you wait for a bite cast for bass. Hard to do here though since you can only use one rod.

You deserve alot of thumbs up fro hanging in there. It looks like you may have to walk a trail from what I see.
Is there any other way ? I was kinda wondering how far a trail is it ? Im an old cant see great fishermen. But I still catch some fish,and hooking into a nice carp would be a great break from the 8-10 inch trout plants anyhow.

Thanks. You do have to walk a trail but it isn't too bad from the parking on east park drive. Although the trail can get soggy (I went in up to my knee one time) and they close it sometimes but people just walk around the signs. I would suggest lake Union. There's parking by goose beach and I've seen lots of nice carp there (though I haven't fished for them). Alternatively, green lake is a popular one for carp.

I got it after a swim / dive. I just haven't turned it on yet. Just want to make sure it's completely dry before testing it out. That's what I meant with lost it.

Thats a small carp? Thats bigger than the ones I caught. 🤣 Dang. How did your files get corrupted? I think I would cry if that happened. AND your drone is lost? Thanks. It's about a third the size of my personal best. I am not sure what happened but I switched the camera to 240 frames and then everything went away. The drone is supposed to have obstacle avoidance but I guess it's buggy.

@@siralbertus I did and they gave me some solutions. If it happens again they will service it.
That's a giant carp, remind me of home, I fished a lot of them when I was a kid

What type of bait and setup do you use for Carp on Lake Washington? I see them jumping all over the place but have never managed to catch ine
I do european style fishing. I have boiled deer corn on a hair rig. I put a mix of cream corn and old fashioned oats on my no roll lead. This video shows it. ruclips.net/video/qFQ9V_eAqHA/видео.html

Oh Man sorry about your b-roll i love this kind of footage... If you use Linux i can recommend a couple data recovery program maybe llbe helpful
I have linux and used photorec to recover the files. The problem is my gopro didn't finalize the files. I can send them one to you to try get to work but nothing I've seen can recover it without paying a bunch of money.

I would guess striped perch but I am not an expert on micros.
@@PeelingLine lake Washington is my home lake and we don’t have striped perch but I can see how they can look like those. The only reason I ask is because I am a bass fisherman and I am wondering if the bass fry are there now so I can maybe catch a fry gaurder. Thanks tho! The underwater footage was epic!!!
@@proxcuber4741 Sorry I meant yellow perch. I know the lake is full of them. I did see a big bass 4+ swim under the bridge really fast to the left of my spot into the shallow area. I don't think it was guarding fry though.
@@PeelingLine yea that area always has huge largemouth just cruising, they are very hard to catch tho
