Hey man would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how to apply the straps on the backpack? I have a Slacker from way back and want to to customize the same way. Thanks!
Just sew it on man. Personally I use tooth floss or fishing wire to sew with. Then I'll reinforce the seams with a bit of shoe goo or something similar.
I used the dark blue jansport backpack to make mine. It works very well. I colored in the jansport logo black and glued on a square piece of leather to make the key chain holder. Then I used to brown straps from another backpack to make the straps. Sadly I don’t have a 3 way buckle so I just sewed it onto the backpack where the buckle would be. Honestly it looks almost the same. The only thing that’s noticeably different is the color of the backpack being slightly darker but besides that it looks great.
This is pretty cool! I have the the exact same military jacket, grey/blue shirt, and brown shirt he wears through out the movie. Still looking for his blue zip up hoodie tho.
Glad you’re still at it man! I have the camera & strap, the Nikes, the glasses, and the Superbreak I was planning to modify (even got the straps and buckles) but then ended up using for school. I’ll get to it one day haha
jesus i've been like 2 years looking for the damn slacker backpack and this guy got it like a month ago aparently... talk about the parker bad luck, huh?
ok, soooo I purchased that camera strap through Amazon last year and it is exactly like the one you have, with the plastic black side of it. then I purchased two more for each of my cameras through that same site you have posted in the link a few days ago (i'm seeing this video for the first time, I just happened to find that same site haha) and actually got a MUCH better strap, without a plastic underside but rather the whole thing is made of that comfortable material and also includes the film roll holders on it
I’m using the link you provided for the backpack strap and buckle but I’m not finding it if you could help me or give me a new link that would be great, also how would I attach the straps to the backpack? I would imagine I just sew them on?
@@rhon249 You actually want to stitch them into seam of the backpack closest to your body when you’re wearing it. They way they have it for the movie makes it sag way more than it should because it’s pulling the backpack out. If you sew them in between the back panel (the padded part that touches your back) instead of the front you’ll get a much better hold.
it can actually i made my own it holds my skateboard more perfectly i used some puff cotton for the backpack unused inner side where my skateboard placed then tried it worked so will ur it took me a month to understand if u want a video of it dm me
Yo so I’m in year 10 now so I got a new backpack I got the JanSport but not the slacker because I couldn’t find it so I got the other one instead added the straps and now it’s my school bag

I'm working on a backpack like this to use for school. I am in fact a huge Amazing Spider-Man fan.
Damn, I really like the design of the modifications but it's like a lot of effort for nothing if they can't actually hold the skateboard
it actually can it just depends on the placement of the straps bc that will determine how tight it will hold ur skateboard
