I'm Happy I saw Deadpool2 and I laughed at all the jokes. But it didn't have anything that made me want to rewatch it over and over like the first one. Good film just not great imho. Its one of those, I Saw it, I enjoyed it, dont care to see it again but if its on Ill watch. DT Matinee for me

Wade's character was established in the first film. A mutant with the heart of gold. It makes sense he'd wanna help this kid. I dont think its something they came up with to say "Hey deadpool has a heart" we already knew that. Cliche as it maybe this sets up xforce.

The scenes with Dominos showing her powers of “Luck” was a visual highlight of the movie for me...I’d watch a Domino spin-off most definitely 👍🏾
Totally agree with Martin and Korey on this one. Enjoyed it but def enjoyed the first film much better

I was kinda let down by this film to be honest. I agree with Korey, the plot was just kinda lame and generic, and I was emotionally disengaged the whole time.
The Ponderer one thing original deadpool definitely had was an actual villain that you can really hate. They tried to make that orphanage head guy hateable but he was just annoying i guess.
I thought this movie was hilarious and I really enjoyed Cable in it.
The story and its structure was a weakpoint but it didn't stop me from having a great time watching it.

I liked Infinity War, but I'm a fairly critical reviewer. I expect more out of film because I'm gonna be a director, so I think the whole MCU is alright. My favorite MCU movie is Iron Man, I'd give it a 7.5/10, and Infinity War is a 7. I could end up giving DP2 a 7, same as the first one.

I'd probably wouldn't enjoy it because I never understood the deadpool hype. I did like the first film but didn't get a boner for it.
No matter how bad some might say about this movie, it's still not worse than all the X-Men movies that we had for the last 2 decades.

So i watched Deadpool 2 yesterday, and my thoughts are, it is not as good as the first one, but how could it. I will say though, yes the movie do not have as many great jokes as the first one, but there are some jokes in DP2 that got a entire thearter, in Denmark to laugh so hard that they start clapping, in Denmark we're only give laughs and they sound you give when you see something cute.
The movie biggest problem is the same as Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. and that is a lack of focus.

I dont know i feel DP2 was as funny and clever as the first, the end credits was genius.
u could see the energy drain from Goodwin and Martin's faces as Korey tears the movie apart. but for me, I'd give it a full price. I had no problems with the humor and loved the action. Favorite character was Domino. CGI was weird at points but not terrible.

It was cool. Suprisingly more dramatic then i was expecting. Only thing that bothers me is Colossus always being in his metal form. What the he'll is that about?
Technosis 909 it's a joke because it's cheaper to have him always CG than to have to animate the transformation to/from his metal form. More so for the first movie due to lack of budget. They could have easily done it for this movie but thought it would be more hilarious
2 fully-fledged CGI characters (Colossus and Juggernaught) for a budget at a quarter at what the Justice League's Steppenwolf and looks amazing

How is “the characters are one-note or unlikable, the jokes aren’t as funny as they either call back to the first film or rely entirely on how much knowledge of comic books and movies outside of the film your watching, and the story not being as interesting” nitpicks? Average movie
People really overuse nitpicking.
Nikolas Mokalis " the characters are unlikable?" Yes the boy is an obnoxious turd but thats how he is written so he is supposed to be unlikable, infact thats a key plot point.
"Characters are one note" no one really has a fleshed out back story but since when is that always a bad thing? Their motivations are clear and relatable and (the main 3) all have their own badass moments which is enough for me.
All I will say about the jokes is that humour is 100% subjective so whether or not anyone finds something is their personal opinion. For me i will admit some jokes were lazy yes but i still got a good chuckle especially at the end.
The story in this movie takes a while to pick up momentum so it has a few pacing issues but they keep it relatively simple and easy to follow to put more focus on the jokes and action.. I dont see how thats really any worse than the first one which is just a cliche action revenge story with no depth.
At the end of the day the film is still fun dude... korey gave it a full price . If youve seen it and thought it was average thats your opinion but I thought it was great and im sure many others will.

This movie did what it needed to do, and exceeded my expectations while doing so. Yes the story is very simplistic, but so was the first one. The characters covered for it in both of the films. High Full price.
DTC, don't take this the wrong way, but this did sound a bit nitpicky. I know you guys see a lot of movies and plots get recycled, but that's not always a bad thing. I mean, would you say the same about Terminator 2? Basically, if you enjoyed the movie and it made you laugh, why not just go with it (well, besides the whole critic thing)?
Although more to a point, this felt cautious. Like you're hedging your bets, not to the DP fans, but the detractors. Not saying this isn't your honest thoughts about it, but I am hoping you guys do a spoiler review and really get into it.

The criticisms are like the issues I had with the 1st movie, but overall you have to admire the effort and heart that Reynold's puts into these films. I'm looking forward to this even more now my expectations are tempered.

Marvel tends to use humor to hide plotholes and to fill in the tones when scenes drag on, saw it alot with BP and IW, with GotG 1&2 being the most noticable.

The part when they basically killed all the X-Force really sunk the movie for me. You had Terry Crews, an average a joe, a dude who can spit acid, a completely invisible man, and an alien samurai and you telling me you couldn't do anything with them action and comedy wise? I wasn't expecting this movie to be like Suicide Squad (which sucked anyway) since it was still centered around Deadpool but what that scene told me is that they didn't know what to do with those characters at all. There's scenes in the trailers with some of them fighting so I wonder how much was left on the cutting room floor. X-Force not being the next movie is not a good excuse for lazy writing either. Should of kept all those characters out completely besides Domino and just put more into the rest of Deadpools crew from the first movie. Most of the kids lines was very cringy too.

The movie has a much bigger budget this time around; more fun action scenes, such bloody violence, bigger laughs, and some clever inside jokes and references for comics fans
The opening credits even plays like a James Bond theme song
I love Zazie Beets as Domino having a devil may care attitude and Russell's story about finding a friend giving a chance to explore Wade's flaws
There's even a hilarious cameo by an actor and a knee slapper of a mid credits scene that is the icing on the cake!
There's a continuing theme of families and suicide being in pieces; you lose one family but you can have a new one, we don't get the ones we want but the ones we need, we all need to belong to someone, doing the right thing is sometimes messy not convenient, kids give us a chance to be better, bullies can make monsters, we can't really live until we die a little, is there no such thing as a selfless act?
'Deadpool 2' is a much more enjoyable entry thanks to Reynolds' charm and the humor really works on a higher level
Sure the narrative is messy acting like bits from a sitcom but Deadpool is a welcome refresher from people who might feel burnt out from the superhero genre
I think there was way too much going on in this film and it had that problem of stopping every 10 seconds to make jokes and by "jokes" I mean references.
This should have been the Cable/ Deadpool movie or the Deadpool/Domino movies or even the Deadpool/Firefist movie maybe even the Deadpool/Warhead movie. None of the characters had enough screentime to be fleshed out which meant they were literally all just straightx-man fodder for Deadpool gags.
The whole movie felt really aimless which might seems like a good idea for a Deadpool movie, buy in reality kills all the momentum. People don't give the first movie enough credit for it's pacing which was arguably the best execution of a S.Hero origin to date, splicing the important character development and backstory into the main arc instead of the tired 3 act structure. Irrc both movies are about the same length but the first one doesn't feel very long due to how well it is edited, while the second one feels like an eternity due to all the characters, locations and endless quips.

The plot wasn't "bad". It's just that it has been done very well before, most notably in T2 and Looper. But the point is to take that tired plot and "Deadpool" it up: with the gags, fourth wall breaking, crass jokes and meta narrative. The plot of the first movie was a retread of revenge movies, but you all weren't complaining about that.
NO MARTIN IT WAS GOD'S PLAN!!! God wanted Ryan Reynolds to be deadpool, it's just a little fucked up that he couldn't help out the millions of other people that need him every day. But because of God we got a good deadpool movie.
I have to be honest, everyone. I loved this movie so so much. I'll admit the first 15 minutes were slow and I didn't really get into it, but the rest of it was just made for me. Someone who wanted a great laugh, who adores Deadpool in comics and media, and got a movie that truly appealed to the geek in me. I was so so happy walking out of this movie.
I know we'll probably all disagree with this movie though. Some will love it like me, others will think it's meh, some might even hate it. But if there is one thing that Deadpool taught me in this movie, it's that we should judge people by their inner character and not their skin colour.
Let's hold our different opinions of this movie up with pride to the world, and not be racist like Cable. :)

Eww! Deadpool 2 had no story, non funny jokes, bland action scenes. Without the direction of Tim Miller, Deadpool 2 was simply aimless. Kill off Vanessa, who was heart of Deadpool 1, little boy was a brat and Cable was a one note stock angry vengeful character The time traveling aspect made no sense because Cable was Cyclopes and Jean Grey son in distant future. Of course, this was not apart this Cable storyline in the movie.

I'm surprised Korey gave this the same rating as Infinity War because as much as I loved Deadpool 2 it's not quite THAT good. Personally, I would have given Infinity War a "Better Than Sex" and Deadpool 2 a "Full Price". Still one of the funniest movies I've seen in years and I think I actually enjoyed it more than the first Deadpool. Can't wait to see it again.

The plot of the 1st Deadpool was was technically thin,but it was great as a whole movie.it was a origin and rescue the girlfriend plot.basic as fuck,but what they did with it was insane.
One thing I really loved about Deadpool 2 is how it had that grainy look to it sometimes. Like at the beginning in Tokyo, it just had an old-school Film Quality to it. Some jokes landed HARD, other jokes landed FLAT. Overall I liked it almost as much as the 1st movie. I actually think I may have liked it even more, but the 1st Deadpool just felt fresh.
STILL THOUGH.... I am sorry Deadpool, but Logan is still my favorite Marvel film.
