We all love our pitching staff and would hate to see them go but this year's playoffs should have shown everyone you don't need dominant starting pitching to win. You need decent pitching and really good hitting to win. If the decision is to move on from one of the starting pitchers I'll cringe but if we bring in a couple of bats (and the they hit...that's the key) then we are much better off.

@@rooseveltheath My point was just that none of the teams left in the postseason has great starting pitching. MLB teams no longer need a great rotation. Lineup and bullpen are the two most important things. So, while we (as Mariners fans) don't want to see the Mariners trade any of their rotation arms it would probably be in the team's best interest if it results in them adding high leverage arms and productive bats. You can win the playoffs with an average to slightly above rotation as long as you can score runs (a la the Yankees and Dodgers). Heck, the Tigers were using 1 SP and a bunch of bullpen games.

Sign Christian Walker to play 1st, trade for Brandon Lowe to play 2nd and leave Rojas at 3rd. If Brash isnt ready then we also need a fireman for the bullpen. Team missed the playoffs cause of how many games were lost in the 7th inning.
