I’ve clearly been through some pretty major shit too for anyone with the eyes to see and the ears to hear, and that wasn’t lost on them. His wife Marrie told me she feels my soul and I know she does. Absolute beautiful people. 💝
I think there's this narrative Vlad tries to push that all this is bad - and on some level it is. But at the same time this is the human story and it's really much more complex and gray than just a dual outcome. Roger's story represents this more clearly than I've ever heard before and I'm glad he (Roger) kept true to who he was and not get talked into a nice clean box of good or bad.
I wasn't trying to watch this video but it was on autoplay and it started playing he start talking I was going to turn it off but ended up watching the whole thing this was really a great interview
All those drugs were dumped into the black and Hispanic community and the government knew about it. Today we are still fighting against the stigma and economic crisis those drugs did to our neighborhoods.
1:15:12 this is the inevitable part of a Vlad interview where he thanks the person then proceeds to try and criticize their life story. Vlad always thinks he has to play mr. Moral high ground. He has to keep up this act so about ending on a “lesson” so that when he’s criticized about exploiting these dudes, he can say, “but I told this dude he did 30 years for his decisions.” This dude is unshakable though, he looks at Vlad like, “so what’s your point here buddy?”
I wish this guy was my Grandfather this guy could teach you so much and I would be so proud of him not for the drug stuff but for this guys pure bravery and brains, could you imagine if he never got caught and he got all the interest, this type of guy needs to be a president.
His story needs to be funded into a movie. Attention all dealers put your money together, and make Roger's movie. I'm sure the turnaround would be huge.
What vlad doesn't understand is that cocaine was good and pure in Rogers day...people started getting messed up off drugs and overdosing when people started adding things to them

She stood by me the whole time.” I start crying and we all smile and it was THIS GUY. He’s got sparkly eyes and his wife is a gorgeous angel. They are coming back when I’m not so busy because I told them I’m not finished with this conversation but was super busy. I didn’t know this story but going to hold off and hear it from the horse’s mouth. Since he’s happy to share it, I’m all ears.
Vlad I have seen Mr. Reaves on amany of these podcasts, hands down you asked the best questions and got the best overall interview!
Awesome story! He’s an amazing storyteller.
I wasn't trying to watch this video but it was on autoplay and it started playing he start talking I was going to turn it off but ended up watching the whole thing this was really a great interview
I hope he gets a movie deal out of this interview
It in the works with one of the major talent agencies...Been (formally) in development since early this year...Shopping to streamers this Fall...
Hands down, best Vlad interview I've ever watched. Incredible story, Vlad didn't Vlad too much either. 👍👍
Great interview! All the charisma in the world.
Vlad is one of the best interviewers in the game, this was such a great listen. Roger needs his own podcast in my opinion.
I could Listen to Roger Reaves for hours
Listen to his sit down with Lex Fridman….or even Patrick Bet David. They’re a bit longer and more detailed
@@davidaldridge5716 the lex one with him was the best in my opinion. PBD interrupted a little to much
@@gabagool_fool4933 oh so you know the deal. Yea Lex is a particularly good listener
Very good interview. I want to thank Roger for being so honest and real. At least seeming so honest and real.
All those drugs were dumped into the black and Hispanic community and the government knew about it. Today we are still fighting against the stigma and economic crisis those drugs did to our neighborhoods.
You blacks sure do love some Hispanics
Love your channel vlad… it helped inspire my channel. I started a docuseries about stand up comedians in nyc.
What a wonderful man Roger is! Great interview!
I wish this guy was my Grandfather this guy could teach you so much and I would be so proud of him not for the drug stuff but for this guys pure bravery and brains, could you imagine if he never got caught and he got all the interest, this type of guy needs to be a president.
Great video Og…you doin good for 79💪💯
Mr. Roger Reaves got a good looking time piece.
Great 👍🏼 interview
That baby👶🏽🐅 lion story..Whatt😲
His story needs to be funded into a movie. Attention all dealers put your money together, and make Roger's movie. I'm sure the turnaround would be huge.
I agree he needs a movie!
I started this video because of the catchy title and eneded up watching the entire thing while driving . Good one Vlad
6:30 one of my favorite moments in the interview dude said well throw some of that hain in there 😂😂😂😂
*hay lol
Damn so humble he didn't even talk about playing junior on the sopranos
What vlad doesn't understand is that cocaine was good and pure in Rogers day...people started getting messed up off drugs and overdosing when people started adding things to them
Agreed
Facts
One of the coldest interviews I’ve seen!
14:30 That part of the story about him being tortured was wild as hell and the whole thing was crazy. Some truly sadistic stuff. 💀💀
And still didn't tell
this was a great interview i was kinda surprised at it 💯
Well I must say Roget Reaves was thoroughly entertaining and I guess it’s that old southern charm cuz we have a few colloquialisms that are native to us there and do I chuckled more times than one ….the very first interview I watched start to finish without seeing the clips first
So happy for him to be out and reflecting on his life with no bitterness 🎉😊
Listen to his sit down with Lex Fridman….or even Patrick Bet David. This interview with Vlad was enjoyable but the others are a bit more thorough 😊
I could sit down and listen to this man all day
After listening to this guy, i have to ask where is the movie, or was it made and i missed it. These stories are so incredible its hard to believe its true.
this needs to be a movie
This should've been a 3hr interview
HES STORY DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE🔥🔥
this guy has to be the most humble well-mannered criminal of all time
great interview Vlad_ captivating!
Just the grandpa story at the beginning was worth it 😂 like wtf 😅
He doesn't fit what you picture when you think of a drug smuggler. He seems like a very nice guy.
