- Hello Beautiful Souls, I've had some worries, anxieties and some days alone; I didn't know what to do and James was away so I turned to my journal for answers. Fairy tales & fairy art surprisingly appeared to heal and help me problem-solve when life is hard. I had an important decision to make and this process truly helped! In this episode; Journal with me and we are starting a brand new sketchbook, a 21cm x 13 cm Moleskine. Thanks, as always for keeping me company on this wild journey called life! As always, you are an inspiration! Milwaukee's Mitchell Airport, in Wisconsin, USA has a "Recombobulation area" for travellers to regroup after going through security. My art journal is now a place where I can feel free to explore and be discombobulated, but also, is hopefully a personal Recombobulation area! Gentle hugs, love and light, and hopes that we each find our happy place.

How strange, I too was struggling with a very emotional situation yesterday, which got me quite down, and I ended up crying myself to sleep. When I woke up I thought I needed to let this go, because it was so depressing, and not anything I could really change. So today, I will get into my art journal once more and of course, it's raining again here- all week, so I will have plenty of indoor time to get busy on my art projects. Hello dear sweet Wendy. I am finally able to enjoy your video today, the day after Easter. I spent the day with my son, daughter-in-law, and all four of my grandchildren along with the oldest girlfriends. Church, breakfast, egg decorating, egg decorating and the best, blessed day.

You have a way of igniting my creative side. I had some notebook paper stashed away and decided to do it justice! My first book binding made with good quality bisquit box paper for the cover with sturdy back. Quite pleased, all thanks to your inspiration! I've already put my thoughts in words in the journal and see the benefits of meditative healing merely through that process! Thank you!

I really appreciate your videos, I've not been able to create as much as I want to for the past few years due to illness, and art was always my happy place too. Watching your videos reminds me of the excitement I used to feel in my GCSE art classes :) it's wonderful to watch you and take in your lovely words and creations, I'm learning from you that maybe I can have a go at making something even if it's not to the standard I used to hold myself to- i want to have fun with it the way I did when I was little. I wonder about gluing the first few wonky pages together and then adding a pocket to hold small pieces to incorporate later. That makes them functional and serves the rest of the journal...and gives you peace.

It's great watching these videos even when they are older. I've been reading Irish poetry, my ancestors are Irish even though I'm in the US. The Faeries are quite dark in thier poems, so it's nice to turn on a good video from Wendy.

I love a new journal 😍. I have lots of sketchbooks/art journals, I use them for different themes to remind me to practice a variety of things. For example poses, faces, nature, patterns in nature, landscapes etc. I make most of them myself, it is really inspiring having a unique journal.
I have recently been making a huge bunch of mini concertina journals which are for mini challenges and projects, they are so fun and really easy to make.
I am currently enjoying a RUclips "draw with me" series (not mine, a channel i watch) and the mini concertina journals are brilliant for small challenges like that.

Hello Wendy! I recently got 2 new journals too. I use Paperblanks journals because they are so beautiful and come in many different sizes! One day I would like to fill an art journal/gluebook as big as your Moleskine journal! But recently I started an A5-sized one (I usually use A6) and found out it's a bit too intimidating for me just yet. So I put it aside and I will try again another time!

My book is calling me, Intentions! is a good idea. I like the idea of writing a page to myself from the journal, giving me permission to explore my creativity on its pages. Been a yr since I’ve crafted a Junque journal...but keep making/ cutting things to make... so many other things having to be done in the meantime...Could probably make a hundred and not run out of supplies...Lack of sleep and inspiration I suppose... along w/ pain...doesn’t help...wrestling w/ a decision or 2 as well...Your soothing voice is a comfort!!! Hello Wendy thank you for your inspiration I so here you as sometimes I too can Have those days of what to do and to Balance creativity with other work as in working on the business side of things. It is so important we Take the time to journal and process and grow as much growth does happen when we spend time and nurture our soul :) . Love to you and James was wonderful to see you today in your beautiful studio and James is right things will get done when they get done It is in important we do Take time to allow our self that creativity time when it it is so needed . Balancing is something I know is always something I have to work on. Much love to you Both

I have a suggestion, something to share regarding not sleeping well... try a 20min foot bath. Use epsom salt if u are tired ❤, ginger slices if u are feeling cold.

You can glue the edges of those first two pages that dont open fully to create a pocket.
I've had a leather-bound journal for a long time and couldn't decide what to do with it. Now I have a plan, thanks to you. It has very thick pages so I can glue (or tape) to my heart's content. And writhe, of course.

James is right. it reminds me of one of my fave Christmas movies, "the Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey". He whittles and makes artfull treasures and when he's asked when it will be ready, he says " It'll be ready when it's ready ". lovely paintings and treasures! Happy Easter, spring solstice, SPRING!
