It does apply to both ABA and CA current client conflicts, CA’s exception is just worded a little differently, and does not explicitly require that the attorney “reasonably believe that he can provide competent and diligent representation to each affected client.”
Can you confirm the exception to current CoI applies only to ABA (and not CA)? I have some other materials that suggest it applies to both. Thank you!
