1x8 pin connector = 150W max + PCI Express x16 = 75W after OS loading = 225W. It's more on 10% than enough and I do not recommend overclocking it manually by increasing the voltage. OC mode will be enough. Memory GDDR6X has thick thermal pads and it's also not very good for manual overclocking.

    • @ALKtech

I didn't try overclocking the card - but at the stock Performance mode with the factory overclock, it rarely went beyond 200W of power draw according to my readouts!

Excellent video! Just have one question!
At 4:32 you mentioned that the card is 303x133x64mm
The 133mm height, is that from the portruding "lip" where the RGB is at? It should be around 139mm from that part.
Or is that on the part where the 8pin power slot is? Hence your 133mm measurement?

Yeah if you wanna gun for a more meaningful upgrade, getting the 4070 would be the best option, especially when compared to the 4060 Ti 8GB/16GB, which don't really represent good value in my opinion. Your 11700F when paired with a RTX 4070 SHOULD net you decent FPS when gaming at 1080p/2K!

Did you have any coil whine on this model? I'm looking to get one that doesn't have any. I know it varies a lot between batches / models / PSU to some extent, but every opinion helps me out. The asus dual 4070 has gotten a bad rap for having a lot of coil whine, and I'm wondering if the TUF version shares that drawback. I'm looking to get either the TUF or the PNY XLR8 4070, since both are very quiet fan-wise, which is what I appreciate. Coil whine is hard to narrow down though in comparison.

My take is that if you're content with your 3070's performance for now, hold on to it and perhaps see how AMD's mid-range RX 7000 series is gonna be like when they do eventually arrive - hopefully they'll be good and you might see price cuts from NVIDIA then...
