Alone: a song that wasn't created alone
RYJX HAHAHAHHAA
@RYJX He does say "I know I'm not alone"
Kubic omg you're right haha...
RYJX yes it was, it was made by alans friend
haha so true

Well, he kinda is already, since a lot of his stuff was in the video hahahaha
Joao Silva he has alot of tutorials, search those on yt
Yago RG Yes, i know, saw their toturials on splice but (I think) he never make a full song video like the producers do here on Future Music
It would be great to see how he made those great tracks
Joao Silva great idea
You could tell his ghost producer was actually more interested in showing off the project and his work because he was passionate about what he actually made. Alan hardly had a clue.
He is not a ghost producer, he is a co-producer. Alan always credits his co-producers. Even in tbe behind the scenes videos his co-producers are shown. They help Alan on the technical stuff but Alan makes the whole track. Also, the reason why he has co-producers is because since he is at Sony, Sony wants the songs to sound as good as possible. And yeah. Fade, 135,Force, Spectre and literally everything else before 2015 (before he got signed to Sony) is all made by him. And it still sounded amazing. That's the reason why they wanted to sign him. Because he is talented and makes unique music.

+Ghost That's because mood melodies produces on cubase...lol so now its confirmed who did it.. Also you can actually see alan's laptop on the side with FL12 and the melody notes for the alone drop... I think that is the only thing he probably did on his own... If he thinks cubase is so complex , why not show and explain his project in FL 12 itself... and look at the way he explains everything lol.... Sometimes I doubt he is even a producer... All he can do is play pianos during live performances and write melodies , nothing more and nothing less not even the chords... Instead of supporting him , Accept the truth.... I also think all the alan walker fans should know this....They should support mood melodies instead

Honestly this is a relief, as an 18 year old I've been beating myself up over not sounding as good as Alan Walker despite his age. Glad to see these skills actually do take time to learn.
It does seem like he is a money making machine for Sony. The mystique and anonymous symbol he has makes it even easier for Sony to print out greens by ghosting.
You are correct, that's exactly what it is. Now, if you can understand that they made a choice to be open and honest about that in this video; that'd be even better. This is how the industry works. There's no reason to front anymore, people don't care about credibility anymore, everyone is judged on their numbers, so why cover things up and try to be cool? :)

- Magnificent Mozart: “this was a very complex composition consisting of close to 200 tracks, with many acoustic recordings. Here for instance is the underlying pad all stacked up together and on its own it required 10 tracks with heavy toraverb and echoboy, as well some intensive sidechaining in order to make room for all the frequencies.”
- Alan Wonker: “yeah! So powerful”
- Magnificent Mozart: “the lead was a mixture of custom programmed sylenth patch that started from a simple sawtooth with lots of sub-layering with differential shuffle to create a distinct groove and dynamics that we were after.”
-Alan Wonker: “it’s so cool! the individual sounds on their own are very boring but when put together they sound so powerful.”

Well my Intel Core i5 can produce 50 synths together. They have external audio chip that also helps. So you're not right.
For Alan Walker's type of music, that many layers is just inefficient sound selection.
Too many producers these days layer tons of crap without knowing why. If you can't make a decent sounding track with just the sounds you need, you're not doing something right.

can you show me some od his "old producion tunes" ? thanks
Tom Mot just write DJ WALKZZ and you'll see his old tracks , or scroll through his RUclips channel
Or you can think about it from the other side.
It might be that this is what happens in 90% of major label cases and they just don't want to cover it up anymore. These days, even on underground level, you're judged by the amount of followers and how big you are, indicating that the current macro social pattern is not based around credibility; so why not be more open about the fact that it's a team? :) It's more honest for one and it's not like Alan Walker ever had grassroots credibility, to worry about, which is what's holding back Tiesto and BT from fessing up.
This is a good thing. For one, it'll mean more jobs in the industry.

Nope we want more "In The Studio".I would like to hear tips on production rather than how they made a track.
Mauricio Mauricio same here
OLLY JAMES NEXT!!!!!
Remove 'Mood Melodies' and we have 2017 DJ Carnage
It's like when you are beginner in music production but don't know the production skills and you made a track with basics - succes cherish you at one night. Amazing !
But still he doesn't know the production process back there cause he didn't even know what happened to him. Everything takes time.
Agreed fully.
Everyone Should See This Making Of Alone Video From Alan Walker's Channel -> ruclips.net/video/UEFI3l3oRbY/видео.html
ALAN WALKER SUCKS, MY MUSIC IS BETTER
He made three back to back hits all by himself though 🤷♂️
@@robinskull hi based producer
Hands on best COMEDY that I have ever watched!!!!!! I love it.
Hands on the most unnecessary comment I've ever seen!!!
@@maryamsalah8709
Hands on the most unnecessary reply, exclamation mark, and others I have ever seen!
Mood Melodiees did more than Alan walker, but still Alan is famous !! WHY !!!!!?
Devesh Ahuja that's why there are lots of ghost producer making song for famous DJ
I think it had a lot to do with Alan not having the best sounding English. Mood was much easier to understand, so he explained more about the song.
He's from England and raised in Norway - dude has totally fine English. He's just not part of his own productions and a total hack.
He lived in England for the first two years of his life
alan made most of the musical part i think
This perfectly shows how the EDM/pop scene is no longer a stage for talented artists, but rather just a very profitable business model. Alan Walker is the company name, Mood Melodies is the go-to tech guy, the guy pretending to be Alan is the face of the company, and there are probably a couple others involved. It's perfectly legal business. They aren't looking to make music that touches people emotionally, they are just aiming to mass-produce tracks that are hard to hate and easy to recognize (Meaning no experimentation, no personality, no controversy etc.). Then promote it like crazy to get it into the top charts and boom, business is flourishing.
And this will continue forever. Any sound that seems to attract a lot of people will be exploited by capitalist production companies. You gotta go underground if you want to find pure talent. A single talented artist just can't weigh up against a professionally organized company, unless you're Deadmau5 or something.
Exactly. Btw even Deadmau5 had some help from Steve Duda (the guy behind Serum plugin) since he is genius sound designer and his good friend.
@@ES-rs5fo he has insanely amount of talent and sence of musicality, unlike all of mainstresm artist who copy chords and hire ghost producers and just pushing their garbage for money
@@ES-rs5fo i think that goes for Alan cuz if NCS didnt found Fade he still would be producing in his bedroom lol
And if mau5 doesnt know think how can you explain his genius chors and polyrhytns and whatnot?
Savant is really talented too
@@ES-rs5fo every single fucking person is exactly this. You cannot be successful without others. I don't understand what you mean by he doesn't have talent? Nobody can get by with just "talent" it's practice, mistakes and investing lots of time.
Just because he CaN't PlAy aN iNsTrUmEnT doesn't mean he isn't knowledgeable in creating emotion, crafting soundscapes and understanding music.
I have absolutely no idea about your background but you seem kind of ignorant.
I think he's a got a co-producer because of most famous and successful music producers and DJs are quite busy with touring, marketing, coming up with new strategies to bring something new to the table and basically keep on floating their music careers besides the other aspects of their personal lives they need to take care as well. And Alan Walker is not only one who has a co-producer, even KSHMR has Moody or Armin Van Buuren has Benno De Goeij, just to name some I know. A smart musician/music producer knows that not everything can be done on its own and seeks for a second (or maybe a third) pair of fresh ears, without counting the help of singers, instrument players, and most importantly, songwriters.
-there's another layer, with the one noter.
Alan -"hmmm, uea yeanah ,that one, that one really finishes it up, cus the one noter, I, uh, i think like its like, uhhm really magical, because iuhh its so powerful, and uhm, it makes, well I guest, more feeling to the whole guitar melody"

It's funny how Alan could use Cubase in his second Studio Session, but has no clue what's happening here.
Lol
He must have learned it since then, after all the criticism he received.
A real producer knows the construction of his music in any Daw
@@ezioauditore107 not really , I work with fl and logic but when I got a friend copy my work on cubase as accurate as possible ... I had no clue on how to work my way through the sounds without accidentally muting one or the other ... although it was quite messy
DJ Carnage looks different than the last video he made
yeah he lost a lot of weight XD
and like michael jackson, he's white now
Can someone plz tell me who DJ Carnage is? was he in the same state as alan walker?
DJ carnage is a DJ, search him upon RUclips, he's crazy

Imo, alone is the best song of alan, it has really unique sounds, the drop chord is sick!!
Alan Walker was one my heroes but after watching this vid
im fucked
TEX he did his thing in fl on the laptop next to him. the project they are showing is the final one with all the stems. Alan works in fl not in cubase thats why it looks like he did nothing. They didnt showed the fl file because its not the mastered one.
Ghost Sure dude sure....
Mark Holloway actually it probably is true because on his official channel he posted another making of alone video which showed him use Fl studio.
haha bruuh check out Zen World's latest video about Alan Walker 😂😂
Ghost doesn't explain why he doesn't know what a saw lead is
WHAT IF I TOLD YOU
ALAN WALKED DIDNT PRODUCED “ALONE“ ALONE
*_lol_*
SJT Official "I KNOW IM NOT ALONE"
Lol Hi SJT, lovin' your videos btw
WOW EPIC MEME ^•^ OwO
whatttttttt....................
What if I told you Alan walker does not know how to make music...
To clear things out after months of thinking. Alan does makes his tracks, he does have talent compared to trash DJ's who actually need ghost producers. He has been working for himself, since the start of his career up to his releases on NCS. He then changed labels to Sony where he got a team which helped him makes his tracks to a professional levels, which then could be sold successfully across the globe. His first walk-through too, something he does not normally make his music in.
I think we gotta take a step back and look at his talent before his professional releases. He does know how to produce very well, but with a co-producer, he can make pop songs with vocals, and mix and master professionally and have less stress on the tours he does as well. ;)
Exactly ❤️😍

I don't trust the word "Alone" anymore.
