I share the stories as they're shared with me. True or False is completely up to the viewer. God bless 💙 🙏
I grew up in the Appalachians of South East Wva.I know people who have never seen a town never left their home area. What I will tell you is not a story it is fact call them feral or what ever but they do exist. I know this for fact.
My family are from the mountains also, and my grandpa have ran across men like this so I know 100% this is true. My grandpa said if you leave these people alone they will leave you alone.
Amen to that, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
@@TinaBall-dx3gt they’re just people with same thoughts feelings and needs!
Allowing them to live their own lives is the respect they need to survive! 🙏 Have you heard about the people who wear the white robes and live in a community? I find these stories fascinating, so thanks for sharing your families true life experiences ❤
Anyone who served in the military knows how hard it was to re-adjust to living as a civilian again. Most civilians are not easy to get along with, for Veterans. I live near Amish farms and families. Their ways are odd to me; but, I treat them with respect and go out of my way not to upset any of them. When I needed a new roof, I hired an Amish crew to do the job. The cost was agreed on; and, the new metal roof was installed in one day. They don't waste any time or materials; and, they cleaned up everything before they left. You have to treat other people with respect (even those who are very different from you). Feral people have rights also. Many of them have their reasons for living where they are. Thank you for this story. There are two good lessons to be learned from this video. Treat other people with respect; and, don't mess around (walk, run, ride, hunt, play, dump, or party) on other peoples property.
Amen every word you said is absolutely true
Most people that give respect give it in return
Live and let live, respect to get respect, Amen Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
Feral people are very different from hermits.
Some folks just want to live out there in the woods and be left alone.
I love listening to these stories and I love the music. Great job. God bless you and yours.
Glad you like them! Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
I believe that story, as i have kinfolk from those hills I know, but have to meet. I’m 65 yrs old!
That would sure be a creepy encounter for sure. Would prove to me that people like that would be 100 times more connected and in tune with their surroundings than most people. You would probably be on the loosing end of an encounter with them.
There were “feral people “ that I knew of in our Eastern KY hills too. 3 brothers ( All in the 50s maybe)that all lived on a ridge with no other people. No road access to their makeshift home. Deep into the woods. They were raised to be recluses, as their parents were the same way and had died off. They made 1 monthly trip into our local town for groceries and supplies each month. They would walk the mile down the mountain to the closest neighbor , and he would give them a ride to town. They were very strange acting but polite and cordial. They would buy their supplies (mainly coffee , kerosene and other things they couldn’t produce themselves. They would bring them back and load them up on a mule and buggy and take them back up the mountain. Rumors were that they all had never been to school or public places and got government checks. Idk that for sure though. They stayed to themselves and never bothered anyone.
I've known some folks like that, good people, just kept to themselves, they didn't bother nobody and the folks that was around them made sure nobody messed with them either, thank you for watching and God Bless 🙏
Ever want to see feral people come to North Charleston, SC! There’s plenty of feral types here!
Or Portland Oregon😂😂 no joke
@@hughjunit2503I heard Portland could be such.
Or Chicago, plenty of feral there.
We also have feral people where i live. London.
Really, I'd like to hear some stories about them. Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
WOW that's amazing Jared. That's a strange experience. Thanks so much for sharing my brother.
Hey there Donnie 🫡 Nice seeing you here!
@@slowboywhiteboardv4 Thank you friend. I always support my brother Jared. He is a great story teller.
Sorry just seeing this Donnie! Thank you so much my awesome mountain brother yeah it definitely was! God bless you 🙏
@@JaredKingTV Your very welcome my brother.
I'm new here, I just subbed (47,400k subs) I peeked at some of your videos, I honestly can't wait to binge watch! A little about me, I'm a 54 yr old disabled woman from NC who has FSHD2 Muscular Dystrophy so my hiking & exploring days were over when I lost my ability to walk. When I was younger I loved hiking (a lot of heavy bushwhacking) thru the Appalachian Mountains. I didnt get to check out the Blue Ridge mountains as much as I'd like to bc I was addicted to Appy. I still have family up on those mountains in nc! One great aunt & uncles property span from nc and carries over the border into Eastern TN. (Rains' and Johnsons) Thank you for sharing all your stories/research, etc with all of us! It means the world to me, to tell these stories keeping them in the light. I appreciate all the time, energy, and effort you put into this channel as well as keeping the history alive...Much Love and respect from a lil ole lady from central NC!
I am so happy to be able to give life to the stories, history and memories of others, to give to give kinfolk like you and to keep them all alive an well 💗 Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n

My father was an old man he told me about feral people of the mountains of Northern Carolina
Would have loved to have heard the stories, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
Thanks, Daniel, for sharing your grandfather s story, Thanks, Brother Jared for sharing
I was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of south eastern Kentucky,I haven't seen any other people, besides my family, until I was 7 years old
Wow, that is mighty interesting, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
When we were with our mountains, we 'd been taught that there's someone on the trail, you give a little nod of acknowledgement, but no eye contact. Even up in the Blue Ridge you can easily find lean-tos and such.
We seen some in our woods round here too, always just kept on a goin so that nobodyd think we was messing with or tryin to damage em, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
In the area I live on there was a state hospital. When the hospital closed, many of the patients became part of the homeless population. I also recall there was a patient whose mother had abandoned them. This person claimed to have traveled through the Rocky mountains to this area. You never can tell
Wow, that's wild and sad at the same time, thank you for sharing and Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
Back in the sixties when I was a child we lived in a holler it forked off and another holler on the left side was about mile and half long nobody lived up it but my daddy hunted it a lot he saw a wild man many times he said I was about seven years old and my mommy and a few of my sisters and brothers ( there was fifteen of us kids ) would walk up in there a lot we had a few gardens up in there so we were in there a lot but one day we were about half way up and here came a man he ran across the road in front of us he was so fast he had long strangy hair a beard and overalls on I don’t think I saw his feet it scared us every one and through the years after I grew up daddy said he would see him ever now and then one night we heard gunshots pow fast firing when they stopped we ran to see what happened and my dad was standing there with his pistol in his hand said that the wild man was looking through the window and he slept with his pistol beside him he said he saw him looking in the window and eased his hand on his gun and fired from where it was laying beside him in the bed the window he shot out was over six feet off the ground and saw him one night around Christmas we a were just hanging out a bunch of us at mommy’s I was standing in front of the gas heater talking and turned around and there he was looking through the window on the porch I screamed and every body ran out side but he got away our chickens would get gone a lot
We didn’t think nothing of it it just excited us I guess we were just as strange as he was to us lol but I can still see him when I think about it it’s my memory daddy told us not to bother him that he might be somebody that was in the war
Great story!!! you know, I've been to the Smoky Mountain region probably 17 different times in my life, but I'm smart enough not to stray too far from the main trails. There's a feeling out there, that's for sure.
Hi Jared! Much thanks to Daniel Rigsby for sharing his family's story with you to tell. I believe as he does, that most feral mountain people don't want to cause trouble and will leave you alone if you simply don't hassle them and let them exist. I suppose, however, that that's no more completely true there than it is on any large city street! But I will take the mountains over the large city any day of the week and twice on Sunday! There's good, bad, and the unexplained in both, but if your good to life in the mountains, they'll be good to you! Not so sure about the city anymore.
Y'all take care now! May God bless you and yours. 😊
That's a wonderful outlook to have and I agree, live and let live, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
I've lived in Appalachia 50 years and I know their out there
Amazing story. Kinfolk, do you think possibly that when the government paid people to leave their land for a state park that some of them moved further in the mountains and became feral? I mean, how did they come to be? Thanks for sharing this. Lord bless brother.
I mean anything is possible ain't it? But I suppose the mystery makes it a better story huh? Thanks for watchin Brother, God bless

Like and shared out in you tube community. ⌚
Thank you so much God bless 🙏
It wouldn't surprise me that any large forest would have feral people in them. Especially out in the Pacific Northwest, or any state with huge forests where people could hide, but find enough game or wild plants to live on...
I agree brother a hundred percent on that much love to you and Captain Sebastian ❤️
Yeah, wasn't there a tv show about some guy named Mick Dodge running around the Olympic National Forest?
It is a LOT harder than it sounds.
I live close to Portland Or and commute there everyday for work. There are Feral people everywhere there. I'm really sad they made there way to Appalachia.
Ditto with arvetta.......Great advice and understanding🤔🥹
Amen, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n

Yes it is hard to readjust from being in the military to savilen
I'd say so man, it has got to be tough for sure, Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
Hey brother
Hey there
Read dead redemption ain’t playing
Papaw Grandfather, Memaw Grandmother.
Ok. But how did they get there and get wild like that?
Well most folks think that when the national parks and everything was first starting up these people didn't want to sell their lands so they retreated back into the mountains away from society and after so long became feral. Thank you so much for watching. God bless and have a good'n
😢 ok I guess I missed it.😅
🙂💜✨💫✨💫✨🦋
🙏💙🕊️👋😎🤗🙏
Wtf is a "pae paw"?
Papaw - Grandfather, Memaw - Grandmother.
To further complicate things, one may find them...way down yonder in the paw paw patch.
A "papaw" is an Appalachian word from your "mammy" or "pappy's" "pappy"! His wife is called "mamaw."
