I'm in an area with a lot of bears, but the winters don't get super cold. It's very common to see them out and about all year long. Do you think that would impact how they might be feeding throughout the fall if they're not necessarily fattening up for hibernation?
Also I've seen a lot of videos about bear hunting that seems to be at pretty high elevation, are they always up so high? Or is that more about where rhe good berries are that time of year?
    Thanks!

Great questions. In warmer climates bears will come in and out of hibernation throughout the winter. Berries ripen sooner where they get the most sun. The majority of alpine fields have berries that ripen first before the lowlands. Bears will travel to where the food sources are.

A lot of times they are private ranges or from a logging road across a canyon.
