Thanks @estellaknox9285! Thanks! I hope you have a great day! If you don't mind, would you please share this video with your friends on social media? That would be AWESOME!! Thanks for liking and sharing our videos. Hope you have a really great day and keeps:)ing!
That tile with darker grout up the wall with the mantel would be incredible. Beautiful work as always. Thanks for the heads up on another build channel!
A lot of work to redo but you did an awesome job ! 👍Looks great once you get your mantel dried out & in place I'm sure it will be beautiful warming spot !
😊it's great to see you guys back here don't let anyone put you off from posting ,I like many others enjoy what you do so cheers , I wish you and your family happiness
WOW! That fireplace turned out great! Can't wait to see your mantle and the design that you're thinking of behind it. Love your beautiful place in the forest. Y'all have done so much, and it looks so beautiful. God bless.😊❤
With the inside & outside temps, my heater would have been on weeks ago. I hate the cold. Supplying your combustion heater with outside air is a smart move as you said it stops the cold draughts under doors etc. The heater is then more efficient.
The wood stove project turned out great. And the Mantel will finish it off. Its really neat that there is so many You tube blogger that live so close to each other in Idaho .
You showed us the barndominium of Our Dream in the Woods... but it looks exactly like a timber frame barn that is being built on the Jake Rosenfeld channel. Jake is doing all of that BY HIMSELF... (of course he has a crane and a telehandler)... and his last building was lots of steel. I couldn't believe... but they look so much alike. I'm going to have to go to Our Dream in the Woods and check it out.
Hi Guy, you can take that tile and make some Privits out of them for hot pans... make a wood frame and epoxy them to your frame. Make different sizes. Make them for gifts... just a thought... God Bless.
We installed a similar woodstove in our home in Minnesota twenty plus years ago. By code we had to put cement board on the wall behind it. Then I put thin brick veneer over it.
Have you considered an ERV or HERV? It can balance all the air flow for the house and make it not such cold air from the outside without heating it first.
I have heard of several house fires started from dirty fireplace chimney or wood stove flue, so I checked to see how often must they be cleaned. Here is what I found: "Wood-burning fireplaces and stoves: Chimneys used with wood-burning appliances should be cleaned and inspected more frequently, typically every 50 to 70 fires. If you use your fireplace or wood-burning stove frequently during the heating season, consider scheduling a cleaning mid-season to remove creosote buildup. Creosote is a highly flammable substance that accumulates as a byproduct of burning wood, and its removal is crucial for fire safety."
If you burn good wood there should be no creosote. My parents have had their fireplace for 30 years and looks very clean today and it’s never been cleaned. They only burn seasoned oak
FYI, after 36" switching to single wall or putting a heat shield on and using single wall pipe will drastically increase the heat output because the pipe will massively radiate heat into the room instead of going up the chimney.
You would be doing the new fireplace hearth a severe disservice if you went with fake stone...😢 Personally, I'd put your hemlock mantle in place, column it down the sides, and find some rustic tin to place in the insert. BEAUTIFUL comes to mind...😂😅 Love ya'll ❤️
Next time get some air hose 1/4” or whatever size fits the tube, for aquariums and extend your foam tube two or three feet. So you can spray foam in tight spaces.
You will want to put a fine grate over the inlet portion of your fresh air pipe by the fireplace. The cover on the exterior portion will keep mice, squirrels and other bigger animals out of the pipe, but not BUGS. Bugs will be seeking warmth and will come right into our living space through that wonderful gaping hole. Otherwise looks really good and definitely an improvement. I assume you painted the stove with fire rated paint, but you didn't mention it. Also it appears you cleaned the creosote from the piping, but didn't show that either (might have been nice to explain how you cleaned out the creosote and what you used).
Always wondered why people elevate their wood stove. Since heat rises and heats as it goes, seems you want it as low as possible. Is it cleaning or ease of loading the stove? Please explain.
pak martin n bu julie renovation perapian terlihat bagus good job kita bisa lihat pak martin pakai kacamata lagi cool bu julie terlihat kuat angkat perapian dan always funny sarah n colin u good helper ok see u guys keep tersenyum gembira.

I love Our Dream In The Woods videos. They are doing an awesome job 👍. I think the new tiles you picked out are beautiful 🥰.
Looking nice y'all
Turned out super nice. Well done.
I thought I had a lot of Matt's shirts from Demolition Ranch... But you might have more! Another great video.
Great job,Y’all are so talented and amazing! God Bless ❤😊
Turned out great! If you can get more of the same tile for the wall, I'd do that...
The editing on your videos, including this one are next level. Super job to the expertise behind the scenes! A++
Good morning. Have a nice day. Too bad the tile was broken was very nice. Love, and I think I would put the stone in the middle.
Put some bluestone behind there. It also helps heat the house.
Looks Great 👍, you guy's did a very nice job! Thanks for sharing the fresh air pipe idea.
Verry nice 👍
A lot of work to redo but you did an awesome job ! 👍Looks great once you get your mantel dried out & in place I'm sure it will be beautiful warming spot !
Looks awesome!

You guys never cease to amaze us !!!
Great job!
you may want to consider insulating your fresh air pipe, depending on the temp.contast from outside air vs.crawlspace air
So glad you pointed that out. I have a future project where I was going to buy that type of tile.
Awesome and well thought out wood stove foundation. Looks professional.
Love the tiles on the platform where the stove stands. Beautiful.
Was nice meeting you Marty yesterday. Enjoyed the service at your church.
Nice job!
25:54 that was great thinking Julie 👏👍well done 👏
WOW! That fireplace turned out great! Can't wait to see your mantle and the design that you're thinking of behind it.
Love your beautiful place in the forest. Y'all have done so much, and it looks so beautiful. God bless.😊❤
Very good video good to see y'all
Put some bluestone behind there. It also helps heat the house. Or is it soapstone?

... why not use some more of that exact same tile on the wall behind the stove?
Muscle-woman! That's one heavy wood stove.
Hi Guy, you can take that tile and make some Privits out of them for hot pans... make a wood frame and epoxy them to your frame. Make different sizes. Make them for gifts... just a thought... God Bless.
More push-ups, J!! Nice job. Maybe take the door off next time?
Tha came out simply beautiful guys! Sending blessings.
rock backdrop for sure
Nail support boards around the pipe to keep it from moving around
Great video
OUTSTANDING
I was surprised! I’m already subscribed to both channels. ❤
영상 잘보고 갑니다 응원드립니다
계속 좋은 영상 기대할게요!
That really looks awesome Marty! Great work by you, Jules and the kids!
Great job. That s beautiful.
Your house looks so pretty! For some reason, I miss seeing you guys so it was nice to catch up! And also, thanks so much for sharing! 🤟 💕
Very beautifully done you guys. Love it!❤❤
Always love watching you guys. God bless.
Great job done by you all!!! :)
To Finish Behind the Stove... I'm thinking maybe a piece of "Hammered Copper" or "Not Hammered" Framed in Wood is my suggestion.
Looks very good your new stove place but where are the beds for your pets? ;-)
Looks beautiful guys
I just subscribed to Our Dream In The Woods. I love post & beam construction.
Hey guys, do the rock idea below the mantle. It will have insulative properties, unlike the metal. Maybe somewhat match the tile on the pad???
Hermoso. Felicidades
Corrugated tin on the wall behind the wood burning stove would be a great idea and it should help reflect some of the heat back into the room.
Can’t wait for the next episode to see that mantle!
Good job! You guys always do a nice job and love how you all work together. Where did you get the tile from that you finally used?
I have heard of several house fires started from dirty fireplace chimney or wood stove flue, so I checked to see how often must they be cleaned. That broken tile would make a lovely Mosaic accent piece, border or design...
FYI, after 36" switching to single wall or putting a heat shield on and using single wall pipe will drastically increase the heat output because the pipe will massively radiate heat into the room instead of going up the chimney.
Your fireplace hearth turned out great.
Looks like I’ve been watching both your channels
Yay Courtney and Riley!!!!
looks good !
The fresh air pipe is to create positive pressure instead of negative pressure in the house and prevent a drafty house. Nice installation .
Put some painters tape on the line you cut. Stop it from chipping.
Julie 's tile would also look good om wall behind stove with a mantle. Then she would be all smiles.
Nice, Good job
I feel so bad im 42 and i never knew what a hearth was. Alwas wondered never looked it up no i know whe the movie cricket on the hearth is about lol
I caught up with your channel over at Our dream in the woods 👍I've been following long time :)
Looking great guys should be warm with that fire
The hearth pad looks great. For behind the stove how about using the same tile as used for the pad?
If you don’t use corrugated tin under the mantle I’d use the same stone as the hearth. That would be a showpiece for sure.
The metal would match the island if I remember right? That hearth will be awesome!
Don't forget the master shower.
Good job but you should put a turn downs on your pipes that are by your solar panel so rain can't get in it
Next time get some air hose 1/4” or whatever size fits the tube, for aquariums and extend your foam tube two or three feet. So you can spray foam in tight spaces.
Definitely don’t use corrugated metal behind the stove! Stone or tile would look great. Stone tiles would also work well.
Suggest using the same tile on the wall as on the floor!!!!
Thanks for the tip!

personally would have also buttered back side of tile unless instructions say different
Tin would reflect the heat back in to the room
Beware of increase of moisture in the house now when your are decresing the airflow through your house.
I subscribed
Mom says "And it smells good" and everyone's noes goes right to the wood! BWAHAHAHA
Waooo
have seen grouting done with a squeeze bag much like a cake decorating squeeze set up
👍❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️👍
Always wondered why people elevate their wood stove. Since heat rises and heats as it goes, seems you want it as low as possible. Is it cleaning or ease of loading the stove? Please explain.
I think the corrugated tin would look terrible
Don't forget to clean out the rest of the pipe through the roof
pak martin n bu julie renovation perapian terlihat bagus good job kita bisa lihat pak martin pakai kacamata lagi cool bu julie terlihat kuat angkat perapian dan always funny sarah n colin u good helper ok see u guys keep tersenyum gembira.
It's only a fresh air intake, you should have gone under joist not cut the joist.
It's just blocking. No real structural integrity needed. Straighter the pipe, the better the flow, especially if not under pressure.
small aid use trash bags slipping over from bottom and loose creosote and carbon get caught easier clean up
i see you make your wife do most of the work are you unable to do things your wife is fantastic very hard worker
