While Corrupt Charge is in fact good for your Zaw because it overall increases the damage you deal with every throw, the negative Combo Duration is hurting the Scaling imensly because it makes it much harder to stack your Combo past the x2 before it drops back down. That‘s why we use Galvanized Reflex and Melee Crescendo Arcane now to stack the Combo Multiplyer to x12 and you never have to worry dropping it down for the rest of the mission. Always do big pp dmg
did they fix the sliding on the air to do a heavy for more damage? you could do that before to do the heavy damage of the zaw and get full damage from combo
Something else for even bigger numbers try to: 1. outsource your energy economy to something else than nourish then swap to wrathful advance. 2. sacrifice some strength for Vigorous Swap (it works additively to your vex armor) idk your build but i expect you to have augur secret replace it, Vigorous Swap is worth about 75% strength. 3. change to a plague kripath polearm for max damage as it has 2.2x cd instead of 2x (which also makes your violet shards more effective). the new melee arcanes should work (mostly) experimenting with exposure, influence, duplicate and crescendo might be worth it as far as i know blood rush cc applies with no problem so crescendo build ? (don't need corrupt charge then as well) viral procs make enemies take more damage up to 325% as long as they are armor stripped (unairu is big here) damage cap should be easy with madurai press 1 and throw from 30m
I like archon stretch with dirga and robot dog for outsourcing energy. Since their electric ablities tribher the energy regen. Though you qre gonna be hard pressed for me to drop my smeeta on steel path, alongside bite and the bond mod that boosts crit damage (name escapes me atm)
if you can open up enemies to finishers, then melee crescendo can get you a permanent 12x combo, hard to get tho and you want it at a higher level because 220 finishers kills for setup is a bit much to ask, at max rank you only need 37 finisher kills which is very manageable for longer missions
@@Jambo_D-Soul Have you actually tested it with and without? Check the wiki it only applies combo *after* 30m. This is placebo, either way you're spreading misinformation. At least say that corrupt charge will make the 30m explosion stronger.

I was completely wrong on the maths, i may focus too much on tenokai too much for my normal melee gameplay. Currently building a zar myself. Not for chroma, cos im sexist towards guy frames (glad you are a chroma enjoyer though), but on mirage, cos apparently her eciplse double dips on contagion projectiles. Ya know the multiplicative buff, happening twice makes be see big number. Probably should look at the kewar as my next zar, i think i have a riven for it, but i went with plauge grip, cos i had a riven and apparently the base damage is important. Did roll inital combo on it, so im happy there
yep, eclipse applies to contagion twice for some godforsaken reason. (eclipse is a helminth ability tho so every frame can enjoy the juicy contagion damage)

It may be bugged, the main reason I use mirage is for hall of mirrors (I like the multiplicative multishot). Either it's not working that way, or I'm not noticing cos they get one shot, double dipping eciplse is quite strong :3

duplicate only works on yellow crits tho so it doesn't work if you are doing orange numbers

Theres an Aura Mod Called True Steel tht grants 24 combo. Theres also a mod called Coaction Drift which boost the stregnth of aura mods by +15%. Yeah.

Fun fact you can actually get the 2x multiplier, aim gliding and while sliding will allow you to do a sliding heavy while airborn.
It got nerfed… so you can’t do heavy in mid air while aim gliding anymore
