The landscape in this part of the Philippines is truly amazing, but the interview with the Kalinga Manong was really something special. As vloggers, we try to accurately share what we're seeing and filming but to get it right from an elder is an amazing occasion! I loved seeing that village too! Thanks for sharing Anselm.

Many of the bravest Soldiers in the AFP came from Cordillera especially came from Kalinga. They contributed a lot in the Davao Region when it comes in fighting insugency there. That is why Cordillera is the home of the brave. Before and after Spaniards came the Cordillera is a head hunters people,we were savage then ,we were territorial that is why the Cordillera never conquered by the Spaniards.

I could listen to that man talk about the Kalinga people and their culture for hours 1:13. That was so interesting and informative. I can see why your friend put you in contact with him. He is so knowledgeable. I really don't think you could have found anyone better.

@@KumanderDaot I am interested to hear what other stories he had to tell. Maybe a separate video on that alone? That would be more educational to your viewers 😉 it’s also fair that his effort of sharing you their heritage stories was not wasted because you share it to the world also. Hope you consider sharing it to us too😍 Thanks

KD, as always, this is amazing. I hope you know how lucky you are to have reached the far flung areas of the Cordilleras.. not all Filipinos in their lifetime has seen the beauty of this part of the country. I hope you get to create a separate channel solely for the interactions/ interviews you did with people like Sapi.
All the best to you, KD. 💪

I was just in Buscalan, Kalinga about three weeks ago. Absolutely gorgeous area, my video will be coming out probably in two weeks. I went up there with my friends to get tattoos from the legendary Apo Whang-od. Made some friends and more while in Buscalan. I am hoping to go back again the end of next month.

Good morning! All over the Philippines there is its own unique spirituality that connects its people to a higher level of appreciation for what they have been given. They cherish their past, and always are open to share what they have to anyone who takes time to deepen their understanding and appreciation such as what you do. This interaction in turn radiates a brighter and solid future for the Philippines. ❤ Thank you for what you are doing, Manderdee!

I'll be back there someday & explore more other areas/towns.

When I watched your Kalinga Part 1 video, I was hoping to see you meet uncle Sapi and his family. I'm happy you did and I could tell you learned a very important aspect of Kalinga culture from him. You may have noticed one of my Lubuagan landscape photo frames there. Uncle Sapi is one of my inspirations in photography.

Like what you saw with the stone building and the seed grinding and the huts. South Africa and Middle eastern and New Guinea, Egypt culture seem to be all here. I assume because of the shipping trading routes if the world ,in past history of the world growing
