I own the GS. It’s one of the best watches I have ever even tried on. The green is mesmerizing and feels solid to the touch. The bracelet can be adjusted just as much as the Tudor with a good tool of course. I thinks it’s a no brainer!
Been comparing these two closely for a few months and finally went with the Tudor which 25% cheaper and has an adjustable clasp. Otherwise nothing in it you can’t go wrong with either, two fabulous GMT watches for the price.
Beautiful watch. But I kind of wish that Seiko would just get rid of the crown all together. If it's a quartz watch, why not add a couple metal buttons that can be used to adjust the time?
GS all the way, I chose the blue dial variation and couldn't be happier, no date wheel issues like many have experienced with the Tudor and the GS can be purchased for well below retail from Japan. It is a better built and finished watch, the only edge the Tudor has is its clasp design. Not a bad watch by any means just generally in a lower tier. The GS is more comparable to Rolex, while Tudor is just a bargain Rolex at the end of the day.
Actually AB, I would place GS above Rolex in terms of finishing, and they do make some stunning watches. I think Rolex is unique because their primary focus is on luxury tool watches, and they are extremely tough. At this price point though, surely GS could have given us a thinner watch than this GMT? Rolex can do it, but what we're seeing here is a watch with similar dimensions to the Tudor, which has frequently been criticised (unreasonably in my view) for its thickness. Surely GS can do better... while I accept that as a brand GS is better than Tudor, I don't think it's enough of an advance over the Pro to justify its price.
Hi Brad, I hope life is treating you well in the States. So: two outstanding watches... this is a potentially difficult choice. The GS is more stylish with that gorgeous dial, but I feel that the Tudor is a better buy. This is because it's cheaper, it has 10 year service intervals, the lume is better and it's a pure sports watch. The Seiko is, what? Is it a sports watch, with the water resistance and fixed bezel, or is it a fashion piece, with its up to the minute green dial and fancy polishing, the effect of which will last less than a month in typical ownership? The MT5652 movement has been developed into a really impressive calibre which gives nothing away to any other manufacturer. I speak from experience. So: (shock) I would choose (and hope to buy) the Pro. Thanks for this Brad: either would suit your wrist size, or mine, but for me it's no contest.
No offense. But that's what makes the GS the better watch. A watch can be BOTH a tool watch and a fashion piece. And I take care of all my watches. Even cheap ones. I have Seikos that I have owned for years, and look almost new. I just have to be aware that I have them on my wrist, and be careful not to scratch it. If you want to buy a watch that you can beat up, then why bother buying an expensive watch? You can just buy a cheap G Shock or cheap Seiko watch.
@@nerychristian Actually Nery you're correct, the GS is a better watch, and they're closer in price than I would have thought. In retrospect I would go for the GS provided that I was happy with the fit because it is a big watch. I KNOW that the Tudor fits me whereas I'm not at all certain about this particular GS. There's no GS showroom within 100 miles of where I live so it's going to be a while before I can see any GS watches. Have a good weekend, and take care.
Pro all day, no contest. It's an exploration GMT tool watch that's meant to be a lume monster. The GS is not a lume monster. And the date/crown are at the 4oclock which I've never been a fan of. Pro is an homage to the rolex explorer 2 ref 1655, while the GS just ripped off the later explorer 2 (216570/226570) bezel.
The pro is not an homage, it's just more or less an exact copy. The GS case is completely different, much more high-end and is a well-known GS design. Rolex or Tudor wish they could manufacture something similar :D

Congrats, it's a good one. Enjoy wearing it!

You were the one I spoke to about it Bret! Lol you helped me buy it.
How is accuracy of your watch?
@@erkanvural3621 -3 seconds and I sold it
I like the fact that Seiko put the crown lower on the case. I don't like when crowns stick out to much.

What made you choose the Tudor?
I like both Tudor and GS GMT. I have Tudor Black Pro now. I really like it because it is very good quality watches. Maybe I would buy GS GMT soon🙂
Thanks for the comparison!
BB Pro for me here.

Whats the measurement of the sapphire glass on the Tudor Pro? 30mm across?
If I'm not mistaken it was similar to the 58 around 32mm but will have to measure again next week to confirm.
@@brentmillertime8778 Thanks! Hopefully its 32mm. Might wear more like a 40mm thats the case.
Your lume shot has gotten better.
Thanks, continuing to try and create better quality content for all.
GS without any shadow of a doubt 💪👍

No Contest huh? You're comparing that slab of the Tudor against the gemstone that is GS, riggghhtt 🤣🤣
