Absolutely gorgeous. I really liked your yarn braid and twist tutorials, but I LOVE this look even more. Starting to experiment with doing my own protective styles and I think I need to prioritize trying out this look!
This is the most beginner friendly method demonstrated for braiding i have seen. Everything else is too complicated. This is a gorgeous style. U look amazing. Thanks for the video. Your voice very soothing by the way! Lovely!!
Omg! Yassss Bomb sis!!!! I'm trying this tonight. I have some different kinda curly hair so I hope it works cause sis is broke and I ain't buying no more hair😂
You girl explained your tutorial so well. Thank you very much for your advice with putting the rubber band to grip it. I am doing mine tomorrow so that's perfect timing to find your video
Thank you so much, mm honestly I didn't do anything. But @discoveringnaturals has tons of tips on how to grow natural hair. I just starting my research this yr.
I HAVE TRIED THE TWISTS.... I WAS WONDERING HOW MUCH OF THE WOOL DO YOU USE? MINE SEEMED TO COME OUT TO THIN AND IT WASN'T CUTE. YOURS LOOKS SO PROFESSIONAL SIS! :-)
Thank you Ashley, for this style I believe I used about 30-39 strands of the Brazilian wool. Tried again. just add more hair till you get your preferred size.
@@ItsAbeeyola OH, WOW! THANK YOU FOR THE PROMPT REPLY! I DEFINITELY DIDN'T USE THAT AMOUNT LOL THAT IS PROBABLY WHY MINE ARE SO SKIMPY AND THIN :-) I MAY HAVE USED 12 TO 16 I WILL DEFINITELY TRY THIS STYLE AGAIN!........ BUT DO YOU THINK IF I ADD MORE HAIR WITH THE CROCHET NEEDLE AND TRY TO TWIST MORE HAIR ON TOP OF THE PARTS I ALREADY HAVE IT MAY LOOK FULLER? I WILL TAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS AT THIS POINT MY SISTER :-)
Yes i didn't put up a link because its so over priced on amazon. Below is a link but if you can pop to a beauty supply store, CVS or Walgreens you'll get a better deal. Assuming you are in the USA. www.amazon.com/Shine-Conditioning-Extra-Hold-Ounce/dp/B07LB79R9Z/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=jam+gel&qid=1603229674&s=beauty&sr=1-3
Hello itsAbeeyola. ........ I really love your content. This style is so beautiful and I'll probably try it soon since my hair is due to be made. 😙 But I want to ask: how reliable is this rubber band method? Hole it doesn't cut the hair? Because I want to try it but I'm scared that it could cut the hair and what if the band at the roots snip off? Thank you😊😊😊
Thank you I’m glad you liked it, I personally haven’t had any issues using elastic/rubber bands it my hair. I think the damage may come if you try to take it out the wrong way. I have a video showing how best to take it off. If the bands snip at root- Over time the bands will weaken especially if you use lots of oil in your hair. This is completely fine, it means take down will be easy because the bands will come off with ease. And no your twist will not fall off if the band snips. Lastly This method is really for those that don’t know how to grip the braid at the root. If you know how to braid you can braid first then twist so you don’t have to use the rubber bands. I’ll work on a video soon. Thank you.
Hello, thank you for this tutorial. You actually gave me THE push to start doing my own hair. I noticed that you don't put the braids in hot water at the end, is this because you use elastics to lock them at the end? But I don't see any in this tutorial as opposed to the previous videos, in this one you just cut it or did i miss something?
My apologies if that wasn't clear. Yes I use rubber bands on the ends. You can also burn the ends if you like. I haven't tried using hot water but I don't think it would work.
