@@OnlyThe1Son first let me say you have a right to your opinion. I don't get it, but it's your right.
In my watching the case, Johnny's lawyers were strong and on point. Not rude or bullies. Just doing their job. But to me, who was RUDE and dirty was AH lawyers. Badgering him with.. Did I read that right... Did I read that right etc without letting him explain anything. And the newly released info that AH team trying to dispose an old lawyer of JD, whom they all knew was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Asking the poor man the same questions over and over again. He had to have HIS lawyer there to help him. And AH team STILL fought to have him disposed. Who does that ?? "What if any" kind person does that ?? Her and her team played very dirty. Even disclosing (lie) how much she had to pay for her defense. Omg come on !!!! That was against court rules but they did it numerous times. And brought up the UK trial more than once even though they were told it was not to be brought up cause it didn't play a role in this case. Disgusting 🤢. Johnny's team didn't play dirty. They presented facts. And won 🎉🎉🎉. A case nobody thought in the beginning they would win cause that kind of case is hard. His team did a great job. Let them do interviews, unlike Elaine lol. Johnny's team never bashes them. Elaine went on tv and bashed the judge, the jury , Johnny's team and the internet. Twice on her scripted message that finally ended. The only time I had been in a criminal court was when I had a peeping Tom who tried to get into my apartment. Missi Jade. Oh my goodness, I couldn't agree with you more!! You took the words right out of my mouth. I couldn't have said it better. I grew up in an alcohol fueled domestic violence hell. I waa born and raised in Fairfax Virginia. I still live in northern Virginia. I wasn't aware of this case until it dropped in my backyard...and like you, listening to the testimony broke open old scars and I found myself crying uncontrollably at times. I was so freaking disgusted with Amber Heard. She IS NOT a survivor...she is a perpetrator. I have read that she may have suffered abuse as a child and I don't doubt that possibility BUT, she abused this man. I wasn't really a Johnny Depp fan..I knew of him but I hadn't seen any of his movies. My kids have, but I hadn't. I bawled like a baby as I listened to his sister testify about trying to protect him from abuse and the two of them avoiding their mother and walking on eggshells. It took me right back 47 years ago to the little girl hiding in the closet holding her hands over her little brother's ears to shield him from the sounds of our mother being beaten and our home destroyed as we waited for the police to arrive and it would stop. Back then, they couldn't arrest unless they actually saw him hit her. I grew up to go to work for the police department, working with the very same men and women who responded to my home repeatedly as a child. Amber's lies made me so angry. She not only shit in Johnny's bed, she shit on the BILLIONS of dv/sa survivors. You are so right...we see right through her to her shallow, hollow soul. I honestly think she was..and still is, a danger to Johnny's life. I think he was lucky to have made it out of the marriage alive. My heart broke for the little boy he was, and the generous, kind, man he is. I believe he truly loved her...and she did him dirty. I don't think she is capable of feeling love for anyone. I think she schemed from the jump...and she had several contingencies in mind in case her original plan didn't work.
I'm glad you have survived the hell you suffered...and obviously been able to heal some. I wish you all the best...good wholesome true love in your life, happiness and joy in your heart and the healing that you deserve. Again, thank you for speaking up...so well said. 💚

I found Johnny doing many things I've done to deal with an abuser. He's hyper aware of her tone, always on alert for that subtle change that you know leads to an attack. The way he stayed calm as she escalated. His submissive demeanor in court. Yes, he laughed a bit, but anyone who has been through similar knows that you grab the good times when you can, because they carry you through the bad stuff. He flinches all the time. He always looks like he's ready to retreat quickly. Nevermind how bad she triggered me. What was the most emotionally raw for me was him. Feeling for him. And knowing the type of abuse he's always going to get from her because she will never give up.

Same here, she triggered me from the very beginning and I’ve also listened to the full (5h and the other ones a bit shorter) recordings that were leaked years before this trial was streamed and remember the filling of going back in time because those were almost identical (at times word to word what I’ve heard or said) and for him to expose everything about himself like that (which I also so a lot of myself in) gave me some pease of mind to- a- actually acknowledge that I’m not some nut head just imagining things and that there is someone who has the same experience and that there are people who have been through the same type of person and - b- the verdict, that his innocent and that he was able to speak the truth (which I never did and never got that Justice for myself) that was the relief that that I needed to make that next step in recovering from 6years of that relationship (on and off).. so I feel for people in the same place and the same experience- it only shows how strong we (who went through that abuse) are and how much a person can take just by being a good person, loyal, simply in love..

I'm a survivor of DV and I now work as a social worker with other dv survivors. In 2014, I escaped with our then 2yo daughter to a dv house. (He ended up passing away in 2015).
I don't believe my daughter & I would be alive today had we not left when we did.
I believed Amber at the time- I didn't really know anything about either of them. I was just primed to assume no one would lie about something like this! Like me, there was the age and perceived power difference. Her "donating" really sealed the deal. Under this info, I WANTED her to win!
I only watched this trial because I love Emily D Baker and she was covering it. At some point in the trial- to my horror- I realized the truth; DEPP was the abused and Heard was not just his tormentor- but she was continually abusing him through her lies. Just repulsive!
I was actually triggered by listening to her abuse Depp on those horrific recordings. Besides having a higher voice, she sounded EXACTLY like my abuser- the gaslighting/ circular diatribes and making herself into the victim were especially familiar.
After the trial, I read and watched everything I could about this case- transcripts, her "evicence," UK trial, unsealed docs etc. The more info from primary docs I read, the more I knew for sure that she was the abuser.
What sucks is had I not done that, and only listened to lazy reporting by the media, I prob wouldve been really upset by the verdict. By telling victims that her case shows that no one will be believed, SHE has made a mockery of all dv survivors. She's trying to abuse ALL of us REAL victims. And the media (media that, as a lefty-liberal feminist I have always trusted and supported!) Is only happy to oblige. Its absolutely sickening.
This team was incredibly healing to watch though. I think all survivors and current victims would've LOVED to have a Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez in their corner. Its kinda been a fantasy of mine- a hero who cares about me is able to protect me & clearly show what I was put through. They put so much love into protecting Johnny, and they truly "get it."
I have re-watched Ms Vasquez slay Heard many times since the trial. I've also really enjoyed reading what Ben "just a snarky guy" Chew said over the years in the unsealed docs!
To me, they are heroes. They are an amazing team- it has been like watching the world's best orchestra/soccer team support each other to victory. Thank you so much for all you've done in supporting survivors everywhere.

I’m sorry to hear about your past, and hope with much therapy you and your daughter are in a good place! yes you are right, I work with real victims of dv, and I too believed AH, as her voice was the only one all over the media! It was when I felt compelled to watch the trial, that I realised the classic behaviour of someone who is a victim,Depp cowering, running away to hide to find a p,ace off solace, the fatigue in his voice from having to deal with this narcissistic harridan ,screeching and gaslighting him, the pathetic fake bruises, and her account of ‘horrendous’ assault she ostensibly received at the hands of Jonny were truly unbelievable!Given she was so prolific at documenting, with pics, audios, videos, yet her description of the assault from Depp was not matched by any pics! The one she tipped of TMZ was clearly faked, and she would have had contusions, and lacerations and broken nose if hit by Depp’s, hand wearing chunky rings, plus the lies about the bottle used for the SV would have needed medical attention yet none was sought! plus telling them she was dragged across a floor which had broken glass and cut her feet, yet the very next day she went for ballet practice, but not a single pics of her ‘broken’ nose her cut feet, , medical attendance! I think AH is so use to manipulating, and people believing her lies, like that useless UK judge, that she didn’t bank on the amazing work done by Ben’s team in interrogating her and exposing her lies! Her BPD traits were also evident on trial, and to me that very scary as these personality types don’t give up, until they really harm their victims!Jonny got out on time, but she is still after him, she is relentless! Depp’s lawyers must advise him to keep well away from this monster!

@@iagreewithyou3478 that's what KILLS me! Rather than correcting AH, they've allowed her to speak in DC as an advocate for DV. It's VERY scary! She knows all about DV as an abuser... NOT as a victim but that's not the tack she's taken. Our own VP evidently hasn't done ANY homework as she obviously thinks it a good thing to have AH speak out for survivors. It makes it even scarier & VERY disgusting! If she were to turn the tables & call AH out, that would go a VERY long way. Rather, she's looking more & more like a total idiot while being in support of AH! I wish to appeal to her but don't think she'd pay attention. That was one of the most profound moments of the trial. It was truth. The whole JD legal team had an uphill battle and yet they were steadfast and unwavering in presenting the facts and sticking to the facts and evidence. Watching & listening to you all was so enlightening & interesting to hear everything that was said!
As a layman I found that the questions asked were very insightful & as usual Ben & Camille were exemplary in finding the right answers for people like me to understand easily!
I did watch the Trial in Fairfax every single day& I feel that as someone who has never really had anything to do with Lawyers, Courtrooms Trials etc., the difference in professionalism between the two sets of Trial Lawyers was obvious almost from the beginning!
By the second day, I had already worked out which team of Lawyers that I’d rather have on my side.
I live in the UK & the travesty of Johnny Depp’s first experience of British Law, well I had to hold my head in shame!!
I was mortified as every day that Johnny came out of the Courts, from very early on I could see the hope in his eyes slowly disintegrating almost daily!
The best decision that you ever made was to have cameras IN THAT COURTROOM!
None of us would have known just how devastating Johnny as the plaintiff (with a much higher burden of proof) was going to cope with the situation that was in front of him.
How on earth he kept his cool, I shall never know, with all of the tactical developments from your opposition & nasty little snide comments that they just couldn’t help but sneak in, I honestly think that your whole team kept him grounded!
Oh & Camille, some of the looks that you received from the opposite side of the room from a certain person, that you couldn’t possibly have seen during some of your touchy-feely supportive moments were almost hysterical to watch!
I ALMOST felt a tiny, very tiny bit sorry for the Defendant’s Team until they started with that tactic. It was then & only then that I realised why AH refused the Council that her insurance company had offered her. SHE STILL HAD TO BE IN CONTROL & it showed in flashing lights!
I loved watching you all, starting to put myself into Johnny’s shoes, as all he wanted to do was to clear his name for his sanity& for his children!
That Trial will probably stay with me for the rest of my life as I watched one man, who had nothing left to loose take the decision to cut himself wide open for the world to see just who he is as a man with incredible gifts, courage, fortitude & faith that at least HE got to tell the truth!
Thank you Ben & Camille with all of your young team for enabling such a great man to do this & WIN!!!
Gods speed to all of you .
    With regards from Samantha Anderson.

Terrific interview but I would like to say the respect your entire team showed to Johnny every morning was so impressive. It told me you were ready to fight for him and show a friendship to ease any anxiety. As the weeks went on he appeared to enter the courtroom knowing he was getting his story out and the media did not control the outcome. Bravo to you both and to your team.

Ben and Camille, your team, was such a breath of fresh air. I have seen some of the worse in law, so I did not expect that Johnny could win. When Camille took Amber apart, my disenfranchisement with what I have called the injustice system for years changed. So many things are still wrong with it, but your team and Azcarate gave me hope. Morality is so needed now. Thank all of you.
I despise Elaine and Rottenborn! They sold their souls to the devil miss Heard. They knew better but did every dirty rotten thing they dreamed up-winning at any cost! They are the worst creatures possessed with demons 👹 Amber, and her liars were everything I have come to expect in a corrupt injustice system.

The trial gave me more trust in the justice system, and I learned a lot from it, many did. It helped the public to have an important, informed discussion about abuse issues.

The horrid MSM continues to label us as mad Depp fans, when I as a doctor had to deal with women victims of dv telling me they got triggered by the trial as AH to them behaved like their own abuser, with the lies and gaslighting! I had to tell many not to watch the trial as the triggering effect isn’t good for their welfare! I am not even a Depp fan, but watched the trial as it was important to do so, given my work! I am happy that the poor man’s voice was finally heard and believed! AH has a major psychological problem and instead of her lawyers pursuing the appeal etc they would be better off advising her to get therapy, especially as AH has a baby who needs an emotionally/ psychologically stable mother!

i really appreciate ben and camille being candid and open about their profession so as to open peoples minds about the seriousness and personal investment lawyers undertake to work in that field-
i admire the passion of an excellent attorney; the road is not easy to become a lawyer so the fact you have an endured energy around the field is standout for sure -

Ben and the team were brilliant to profile Johnny's biographical history. Many, many posters refer to the family relationships, especially with his mother. Also, Camille said in another interview that they decided to go with a young team, they are all in their 30's and it showed. Their ease with the liberal use of profanity made it less embarrassing for older viewers. Also, their meticulous organization of the materials. Heard's team wasted lot of time looking for things and their desks were a hoarder's dream. Johnny's team of 6 or 7 sometimes 8 each had a role when one of the lawyer's was at the podium with direct examination or cross and it was obvious to us as viewers that literally each one knew the facts of the case inside and out! Also evident was that everyone on Johnny's team genuinely CARED about Johnny!
