    Did you core completely from outside? If you did, was the method pilot hole from inside using the template, then core outside in?
    Have always inside outed it, but the dust gets everywhere!
    Love your videos. Only been in the game for a year. Your posts have greatly improved my skills. Ty 👍

      Thanks mate, yeah spot on, pilot from inside out and then core from outside in 👍🏽 I need to invest in those dust arrestors that suck the dust as you're coring because sometimes you don't have a choice but to core from inside out

    What is the name of the wall plug what you used on the boiler with rear flue please

    Well done.. would like to see how Josh bricked up the outside flue hole 😂

    Currently training to be a gas engineer, in process of doing MLP. Curious to know how long you’ve been doing this? What age you were when you started and how old you are now? Any tips for someone new coming into the trade? Thanks.

    My favourite boiler the Baxi Heat, so light and easy to install and commission.
    How did you find the working pressure coming off the 15mm pipe?
    @Bennetts Heating Solutions

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Год назад

      Yeah I love them too, plus also no permanent live or pump overrun needed so wiring is a doddle too! It must be 22mm up to inside the wall as we had same working pressure at meter and boiler 🙌🏽

    • @MrVictorvolvo
      @MrVictorvolvo Год назад

      The simple wiring is a massive bonus with these! Always carry little junction boxes, as the wire coming out the wall is usually 10cm long 🤣.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Год назад

      @@MrVictorvolvo I managed to loosen the gland nut and tuck the excess cable into the boiler so all the wiring is hidden behind the under tray 😉

      I’ve never used press fittings and one of the reasons is if u get a leak u can’t just tighten or resolder it🤷‍♂️ did u have to re do that bit of pipe work to sort it🤔 great vid and job though mate👌

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Год назад +1

      @@dombarnes7092 yeah that's one of the downsides to it. Had to cut it all out and redo it. Probably cost me around £15 in pipe and fittings 🤦🏽‍♂️

    Some nice jobs there, I take it that the flue snug is only as good as the finish on the wall's? if you think that was a heavy boiler, maybe try lifting an old Thorn Olympic. Would that section of 15mm affect the gas rate (not sure how long the section is)? (I know some inspectors mark you down on that - as the gas pipe should never be smaller than the inlet of the gas connection on the boiler - unless stated in the manual), but we all know that needs and situations and common sense are sometimes better. Nice install on the last one too. I am sure many operatives to the industry can and will learn a lot from your videos. Always good content and no bells and whistles like some. Well done mate. Keep up to good work (make Josh do more lol). Thumbs up from me.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  Год назад +1

      Luckily gas rate and working pressure was spot on with both boilers so all good. Well the flue snug has fins inside to make it air/water tight so they've designed it with different wall surfaces in mind. Thanks for the continuous support mate 👍🏽

      Daz L is spot on there I really got some stick from Gasafe for doing exactly what you have done with the gas pipe he made me alter my job on inspection even though it gas rated perfect and was less than 1mbar drop from meter to boiler there is something in manufacturer instructions that says pipe serving appliance must not be smaller than the inlet provided by manufacturer if there a short run of 15mm to boiler I now use a boiler make with a 15mm inlet valve like an ideal logic .

      @@richardelder1806 yeah this boiler has a 15mm gas inlet connection so all good mate

      @CP Utility Solutions yes you will be fine there then I see it has 15mm connection unfortunately mine did not it was Worcester bosch about 10 years ago now though but leaned my lesson going try one of those flue snugs they look good with no sand and cement needed .I can't do all that in one day though but I'm on my own a bit of a struggle these days on my own.Great work there niece to see.

      @Chubby_T no, your wrong, unfortunately. Working at that pace will only mean you burn out and cause yourself problems with your health down the line. Not to mention to customer will get a improper, rushed job which could lead to mistakes. 1 1/2 to 2 days should be an industry standard.

      When I worked for BG you would be expected to do all that in 1 day on your own , if it took you longer you would lose out on any weekly bonus incentive they had going at the time , BG are a shit company to work for these days that's what engineers are leaving in large numbers.... 👍
