In today's modern world should leather still be defined as luxury? Porsche should be providing a choice to the consumer, and furthermore educating the consumer on the equally as good synthetic alternatives.
They do use alcantara pretty extensively in some models but I agree there's still so much leather in the automotive industry, it surprises me. In sports cars I somewhat prefer cloth seats.
