Pro tip, had someone show me the other day, if you take the 15 round extended base plate for the regular Hellcat and install it on a standard 15 Hellcat Pro magazine they can get 17 rounds in them

The annoying part is Springfield won’t sell the +2s off the 13 rounders separately, I asked. So you end up with a bunch of extra 11 rounders. The good part is you can get a 13 and a 15 for about the same as the Sig 17.

Went back and forth on both for weeks but ended up going with the Hellcat.
The deciding factors: I've heard and seen terrible things about Sigs rusting and terrible customer service. Springfield, on the other hand has been great as far as build quality and customer support for the Hellcats. The mags also feel of a higher quality compared to Sigs offering. Lastly, I like the built in trigger safety on something that could potentially blow my schnitzel off when I carry.
Springfield also has killer bundles on the Hellcats if you shop around.

Sig is hot garbage when it comes to QC and quality. My 365 xl, which is about 1.5 years old, is starting to show rust spots INSIDE the f****** barrel. I've kept the thing wet with oil too. I don't understand, I've never had this happen with a gun. So now I'm looking to the hellcat pro to replace it

@johnhatchel9681 Maybe it depends on the product or what your issue is. I've heard so many stories about Sig customer service when it comes to their handguns

I appreciate your analysis. I tried both out before I chose the Sig.
I see them as two subtle variations of otherwise identical pistols.
The deciding factor for me was simple - I shot the Sig better.
I would encourage anyone interested to just try them both out; odds are good there is a range you can find that has both for rental.
Buy the one you shoot best - and be happy 😃

I wanted the sig, but here in California it came with a safety. So I chose the hellcat pro! I’m very happy with my decision shoots really well!

Excellent comparison with all details. I have both and much prefer the hellcat. The grip texture on Hellcat Pro is the best for me. 365 doesn't have good grip for me. I also like the sights on the Hellcat better.

I'll play the Sig Sauer P365. Better controls more modular options less recoiling proven track record. If the Hellcats were less recoiling they would be the BEST CCW.

Thank you for an unbiased review of both pistols. It does come down to which one you like in the hand AND the price difference. For me the price made my decision because of what I was getting for my money, not just which one is cheaper. I will pay whatever I need to to get what I like but I do consider what I get for the money. I have a Prodigy and also got a Bul Armory SAS II after getting the Prodigy just because of the value built into the Bul, so likewise, I found the Hellcat Pro to be a better value than the 365.

Just checking.. did I miss the part about the Hellcat’s magazine being flush at 15 but the Sig was extended at 15, and only 12 rounds flush? Also did I mis the part about the Hellcat having a picatinny rail vs the Sig being a proprietary rail? Not trying to nitpick but those are pretty major. I could have missed those in the video, if so my apologies.

    • @SkoTactical

The mags, no, you didn't miss it. I didn't mention it. The rail systems, yes you did. I said it was silly that Sig had a proprietary system on theirs.

Did I miss clip quality, reliability, durability or other discussion?
I was not "sold" on the 365. I just got a HellcatPro to back up and carry and backup for P320 AXG Scorpion Pro Romeo ready. Hope to never have to use either, pray for this sicker-now world.

I have only ever used a S&W wheel gun (years and years ago) and my Glock 22 Gen4. I'm doing my research in advance of obtaining a smaller cc gun, and in consideration of my age/loss of strength in my hands, plus my lack of knowlege/use of other types of guns to compare it to, can you describe the difference in the trigger pull of the hellcat and P365 vs the safe action pull on the Glock gen 4??

    • @SkoTactical
      @SkoTactical  10 месяцев назад

The wall is way more distinct on the Hellcat. I would almost say "resistant". Manufacturers state trigger pull is 6-6.5 lbs, and I can tell you, those numbers feel almost generous to me. Yes, it's that bad, to me. But there are people who shoot really well with the Hellcat.
The P365 is more generous in the trigger pull. The wall is still there, but if you're used to single action triggers, it could be difficult to find that wall. The wall isn't as distinct, which may cause people to unintentionally push pass that wall and possibly ND.
The slide serrations on the Hellcat makes grip of the slide more pronounced than the P365, so manipulation of the slide is easier.
Both triggers do not have that "mush" that you may have noticed on standard Glock triggers.
I know folks in your physical condition, and I recommend them the S&W M&P Shield EZ 2.0. The recoil spring is extremely light, making slide manipulation very easy. There are also models out there with and without the manual safety. The trigger on the S&W Shield 2.0 EZ is also very exceptional. The only things the S&W lacks in my opinion is capacity. The last time I shot one was 2 years ago, but from my understanding, they have addressed the capacity issue.
I hope this helps. Be well and take care of yourself... It's getting crazy out there.

Sig are some bastards for making the first gen of p365xls optic-cut take up the same space as your rear sight. I know they fixed it on the new ones, it's just something that I wish I would've waited on. EPS carry has a rear notch but it doesn't look at good as the actual irons obviously
