Owning any JDM/import car is somewhat humbling. Non-carguys will occasionally go wow a BMW or thats a cool Corvette but they will almost never go wow a Nissan or wow a Honda lol.
I have no car guy friends and it sucks. I have one friend but he is not a car guy. He likes to experience some pulls here and there but apart from that, he doesn't really like my loud exhaust and going to car meets.

Fr Fr, when I was growing up that sputtering sound or that single exhaust blast was shown in cartoons and film as rickety busted up car, like there were major mechanical problems. Now it's apparently up there with actual cool sounds like revs and turbo spools

He sounds like he came from my bloodline, but I could be wrong. He definitely loves race cars, but the noise made him think something is wrong with the car. He isn’t doing it to insult him, but doesn’t know a lot about race cars as a guy. If someone explained things to me, which people did in the past, well I’m fine, and don’t panic with the noise. I drive a Chrysler (it sure does get loud under the hood). I love my car! There isn’t anything wrong with the car, but you gotta think of it like when you speed up, the car will make noise, etc. I don’t know how to explain it. If he put his hand on the glass, he did that to avoid breaking, or shutting the car door too hard. He was afraid of windows breaking with shutting a door too hard. I suppose we have anxiety too much, but people get upset/insulted by it. He WON’T hurt you, as well as harm your car. He actually complimented how nice the seats look, so he obviously loves your car! He probably wants to own one similar one day, but he didn’t tell you that. If he isn’t the same bloodline, I apologize, but he is a nice friend. He may get upset, anxious, say things without thinking sometimes, but he can be a best friend through the good and bad times. If he is my bloodline- thank you for taking him to Chick Fil A.
