For me the extention gave me the yahoo redirect virus. it was really weird anything I googled It would redirect me to yahoo and i would get ads about and what i googled. didn't matter what I would google I got ads about it anyways.

Legend managed to sort in and once i logged back into my account i was able to delete the extension that was srill showing up under guest. I deleted the guest profile aswell. Although the bat file was unsuccessful. The extension is now gone. Cheers.

If there is bing selected , then select the "Google". Please let me know if you need further details.

After all that I run the .bat but it didnt start at all not normal and not with admin rights.

Go to SETTINGS > VIRUS &THREAT PROTECTION > SCAN OPTIONS > MICROSOFT DEFENDER ANTIVIRUS (offline scan) It will do a offline antivirus scan just wait till it finishes and then go and check windows defender PROTECTION HISTORY it will be gone! Hope this helps👍

It most likely won't be able to harm your browser, but may still be able to download malicious files onto your PC. So I recommend you try to remove it still
The icon of the extension got removed only also my extension is called macjkjgieeoakdlmmfefgmldohgddpkj and now Microsoft Edge got mad after I did that steps it is just now opening and closing itself again and again nonstop Help!😢

I literally remember seven years ago when I used to go on every ones computers in class and install troll extensions 💀 So nobody could do anything on the computers
Check the other extension folders. If there are any issues, please mention those folder names in the comments. I will help you identify which ones are malware extensions.

Did you remove the iglfjaeojcakllgbfalclepdncgidelo folder from edge and chrome?

you still need to delete it, are you sure that it’s not in your files?
@@explicitcomments Turns out it was because the chromefix program couldn’t run in safe mode. I ran it normally and it got rid of the virus completely.

The startup file is empty for me. And then i havent the folder name pejhfhcoek…..
