Beanie was obnoxious in dolly, yet got such good press. The only one worse than beanie, was bette Midler. Midler used to say, “you come to see me, just to see how much I’ve deteriorated.” Exactly why I spent the money to see her in dolly. She didn’t disappoint. She was as hammy and bad as I expected.
Finally a performance without the obnoxious clapping and screaming that ruin her vocals.

Lea Michele may be very good as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway but when I saw the WestEnd version of Funny Girl with Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice and I have to admit that Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice in the WestEnd version of Funny Girl is my number 1 favourite.
I’m sorry but this is my opinion.
Sheridan Smith is incredible.
Lea Michele is really good.
But if I had to choose between Sheridan Smith and Lea Michele as my number 1 favourite as Fanny Brice it has to go to Sheridan Smith.
I’m sorry Lea but I like you and even though I have never seen you on Broadway as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl but I have to go with my gut and say that Sheridan Smith knocked it out of the park in the WestEnd version for me.
