  • Thermaltake just released Dr. Power III a power supply tester that updates one of my favorite repair tools Dr. Power II, which can quickly identify faults with your power supply or its cabling. It's an absolute must for PC repair, and every computer repair technician or pc building enthusiast needs to have one of these.

    I’ve got another question! 🙋
What happens if you plug in 12 pin adapter to the unit and then hook up the standard PCI-E cables to it?

How often do you use this for diagnosis? I love the idea of it, I just don’t know how often I would practically use it. I actually don’t think I’ve has a psu fail.

It's probably more useful for people making their own cables, or cables for other people.

I don't know anyone who goes through multiple power supply's during the life of a computer. Power supply is the one thing that lasts at least 2 builds
