I'm an American. In 2012 first heard Poets of the Fall in the video game Alan Wake...the song "War" played on an in-game radio and I was mesmerized. They also wrote and recorded some songs specifically for the game under the fictional band name Old Gods of Asgard.
My favorite band-found them on the Alan Wake soundtrack and love everting I have heard since-Marco has such amazing range and purity of voice that makes everything he sings magic.
I really like your reaction and like you many have that kind of reaction listening to that angelical voice of Marko, I love Poets of the Fall and enjoy listening to them all the time. They have many wonderful beautiful songs, it’s just a very amazing band 🇫🇮🎶❤️
I am so amazed that POTF is not a worldwide known band. Not just Marcos voice(which is incredible) but the lyrics' and the rest of the group who are equally amazing.
Yes. This is kind of stuff that should be playing on radio all around the world. It's just that they are from a metal country, so not something that'd play in radio in Finland that much.
Thank you for a great reaction to this amazing master piece! This is part of the "Alexander Theater" sessions. It is an old opera house build in 1879 by Russians for Helsinki, Finland. I recommend the whole sessions, every part of these acoustic versions. If you want to see the whole band live watch the live concert in Moscow Russia.
Do you know that they are a BIG thing in Brazil right? I was surprise when Nightwish came up becouse I was afraid that would be a "too mainstrean" band ... But WOW!!! Great to know that more people also love them!!!

Favourite band from my country Queen. But Poets Of The Fall are my favourite band that's still going, I've been a massive fan for 18 years since I first hard Late Goodbye after completing Max Payne 2, I've also seen them live 4 times and hopefully will be seeing them againg next year
I would venture to say that 50% of their fans come from playing either Max Payne 2 or Alan Wake. That's both amazingly incredible and insanely depressing at the same time. THEY ARE AWESOME!

I loved your comment about an artist connecting to the divine, because that is exactly what makes music like this art - human beings have the divine gift of being able to create emotions in other people just through their singing - the way you reacted to this song proved this. I’m as old as Marko (the singer) and I grew up listening to 80’s music. Today’s music (if you can call it that) is soulless, in my opinion and most of the time barely human anymore, but processed, computerized and cold. Never ever would it touch me the way artists of Poets’ caliber do. I’m so glad you enjoyed their art (yes, I agree, this is not just music but art of the highest level, from vocals to arrangement to lyrics). Thank you for this wonderful reaction, I hope you’ll react to more of their music in the future.
Most of the videos from Alexander Theatre Sessions are very emotional and I think you should watch them)) As for the rest of the songs without clips, they are no less delightful and sensual❤️ Literally, everyone will find for yourself HIS music
