    Thanks for the effort put in the video but I look forward to the day where I will see an online "kesa escapes" video with the top guy actually demonstrating a decent kesa gatame. The (lack of) leg positioning and control of the arm at 3:59 is painful to watch. It is the case of 90% of RUclips instructionals though.

    That's not a "real" Judo Hon Kesa Gatame". You would never learned to do it like that during our class which makes those escapes just...a little bit harder to do than it seems. Just my 2 cents from a French judo black belt... But it's great to see those escapes if the Hon Kesa is not done correctly which is 90% of the case even for some Black Belt. Best
