Judoka here. I'm often amazed at how BJJ profs can streamline the teaching of Judo techniques. "Just hop around a bit and feel which direction is better to take the uke." That's gold. That's something we were made to figure out ourselves in sparring (the experience of which has its own benefits), but I think my game would've definitely improved much faster had I been taught such simple concepts early on.
