- This video explores the history, powers, and abilities of the Marvel Comics character "Cyber." From being an agent for Pinkerton National Detective Agency, escaping from justice, being a pawn of Romulus, getting adamantium laced skin and claws, beating Wolverine senseless, falling to "Death Watch Beetles," resurrection in the body of Milo Gunderson, to training and battling both Daken and Logan; Let's take a look at this powerful supervillain, and classic enemy of Wolverine. All including a short, canon biography and my own opinionated "Sage rating."

Years ago, Cyber wanted Logan's adamantium skeleton for himself only to find Wolverine stripped of the metal. In a fit of rage he snapped Wolverine's bone claws.
😅👊🏽 Yeah. Savage!
Yup
I actually have the trading card 😅
Was he planning to rip the skeleton out of his body and just implant it in to himself?
Great job!
The only sin bigger than not seeing Cyber face off against Wolverine on the big screen is not seeing OMEGA RED!
Oooh. You had to go and make me think about that! Maybe the day will come... Marvel (and DC for that matter) don't seem like they're gonna be slowing down anytime soon!
DeadStick Rhodes Sadly we won't be seeing the Battle with Hugh Jackman.
Omega Red was going to be In X3 and later The Wolverine, but reasons happened
Those are the two I wanted to see cyber and omega red on film
Omega red was aired in iron man 2 and Mickey Rourke refused to come back cause he was working on the expandables
I had forgotten all about this guy. Had hes card when I was kid. I would collect Marvel cards.
Same
I still have mine in my Rad Dog trapper keeper. Lol
Still have the card
Still have mine
Wtf is your native language Lmaooo. No insult but wtf is with the spelling
Where do they keep getting more and more adamantium!!??? I thought this stuff was scarce....
Deus Ex Machina is a great writing tool. ;) It's actually weak, but you know...
Like Superman, Last Son of Krypton... Oh, wait... Kara (all of them). Oh, and Zod, Ursa, Non, Cyborg Superman, Jax-Ur, and Superboy (kinda), Mon-El (Kinda), Eradicator (not really, but kinda), and Doomsday (kinda). Damn. More like Last Run of Krypton. I know, I'm clever. Same goes for all the Kryptonite. Like, everybody gets it, despite it being rare. Lol.
scarce like diamonds.
That is why there are 2 or 3 diamond stores at every mall. In the end, it is just really good public relations.
In Who Cares? Issue 69, some blah blah used vibranium to develop plot armor, which provides just enough adamantium whenever its needed.
Rikardo .A Kabrera it'd not that it's scare, it's just that few scientist know the formula for making adamantium
Lol it's like vibranium at this point. Abundant where the plot needs it
One of my favorite Wolverine villains right after Sabretooth and there's nothing on the internet that helps you learn anything about the character of cyber so once again thanks
Yeah. Seems like he trained some of the "best!" And compliment much appreciated!
Cyber was so captain 90s when Wolverine was stupid popular. Never liked him though, I preferred Omega Red.
New Sage its the same shit for dudes like Batman homie looks like hes a solid 325 but the bat only weighs 215
SHAWN Taylor comics got to read the comics
What about omega red !
I was curious about this character as a kid i seen alot of him in the early 90's and had forgotten about him till i seen the thumbnail. Great videos you cover alot of material on characters you can't find through searches.. 👍👍👍
Thanks a lot man! I'm glad you're sharing the channel's "vision!" LOL! Have a good one!
If you got Logan running scared, you know your a BAMF.
LOL!
Wolverine and the x men were so popular in the 90s.
It broke the hearts of many when wolverine was defeated by cyber.
I kick his ass
I remember seeing Cyber in a comic book back in the early 90's .
Cyber would be a great villain to put in the films if they decide to continue Wolverine’s story beyond “Logan.”
Officer K he’d be a badass villain in any X-Men movie. I’d also put him in a Deadpool movie.
Aaron Siewert yes!!!
he's ridiculously overpowered. never liked cyber
I wish people could enjoy comic books without concern about movie adaptation.
A good title will never be captured in live action without loads of changes.
I'm afraid Hollywood would probably make him a black guy, just take a look at Domino in Deadpool 2 good example "Ooh we need more diversity" I'd say Fuck that! Keep it original.
If I was wolverine I would be scared of him too
Horrified bro... Horrified. Logan needs counseling after dealing with this dude! LOL!
I'd imagine that guy Cyber Fighting against Juggernaut, Colossus, and Hulk..
his unprotected head is the only reason I think he would lose to all those. Except collossus maybe if he could keep bob and weave lol
Juggernaut and Hulk are waay above him. He could beat Colossus though. Adamantium can hurt Colossus.
Colossus is weak. As a superhuman strength
I can take on anyone!!!
Shit imagine if Cyber BECAME the Juggernaut instead of Colossus...
he killed logan's love interest? again? man wolverines enemies really love to do that allways
So basically if sabertooth had his weapon x he would end up like cyber
cyber-tooth
Cyber should be dead, since Genesis used weird robot mutant beetles to consume him/strip his metal. I don't remember which issue but it was around Wolverine #100 or something
Yeah but I cameback my dear
If I was a marvel character I'd be scared of fighting this guy
Always wanted to know more about CYBER thank you
NEW SAGE
No problem. Doing what I can!
New Sage Your doing great
Well my dear I love to talk to you
Really wished they would have put him in Logan but hey with the MCU handling the Xmen maybe they can use him now 😊
The first time that I saw Cyber in a comic was when he died.😅
These vids are awesome dude.I'm learning alot about these characters
Commenting before watching, just to test my memory.
As I recall, Cyber's skin is laced with a very potent hallucinogen that brings out peoples worst fears. So, basically like a Scarecrow on steroids. lol
how could you neglect to include that one time he broke logans claws to pieces in issue 78 (?? maybe ??), which was only a very short time after magneto separated wolverine from his adamantium
This guy got consumed by cyber mutant death watch beetles in the wolverine campfire tales
Yeah those damn Beatles!!!
In the New future waves of Wolverine movies we need to see more of Cyber, Romulus, lady death strike , Darekn , X23 etc.
how bout one on OMEGA RED....
Cyber has so much potential
I remember having the old Game Boy game X-Men Wolverine's Rage and Cyber was the first boss. You had to trick him into falling off a roof.
You say cyber is a trained hand to hand combative. What styles does he know.
When wolverine had no adamantium in his body, he broke his claws
How the heck could he pee & poop if his body is covered with adamantium?
+kirby march Barcena - 🤔... 😆👍
kirby march Barcena sometimes you gotta make bitter sacrifices.....
Wolverines instinctively go for the groin too..
He's not Kim Jong Un
hence the rashes and blistering
Need to be a Wolverine movie facing off with Cyber
i liked this Guy... Sam Kieth artwork on him made him look like adamantium laced venom. I think it would've been a nice mention to explain how wolverine got his adamantium back from the original cyber body. Great video.
When will we get a movie. Wolverine has had so many movies but this is one of his mane opps.
Thank you. I’ve always been a fan of Cyber, about time he got a video worthy of his stature. Plus he smokes cigars so I dig it lol. Keep it up bud.
Thank you my friend
Cyber for the MCU!!!
Interesting! I remember seeing him on a card as a kid but totally forgot about him until his marvel legends action figure just came out.
Great video. I remember Cyber, they should use him a lot more often. Why wasn't he in the MCU. He has so much potential as a very formidable villian.
Nice obscure Wolverine villain, can you also do Bloodscream next?
Captain America shield is adamantium and vibranium. NUFF SAID
Cyber always interested me. Thanks for the information!
Thank you
Silas Cyber Burr too bad that you didn’t appear in Logan or maybe Donald Pierce should use the alias Cyber
Man, you are straightup bringing back some old-school memories😂 Great channel brother-very well put together, nice selection of characters, and fun-keep it up👍🏾
Thanks man! Straight throwback champions! LOL! I'm glad you're liking the vids and see the channel's "vision!" The vids are gonna keep rolling. Have a good one!
I always loved the character cyber...good job on the video homie..
Yeah... Cyber never fully got the recognition he deserved! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the support!
One of my fav villains. Criminally underused
this would be an awesome movie!
Love Cyber thanks for the video
Thank you
Such an excellent channel! Well done Mr. Sage, you get a like and a sub from me!!!! Keep the great content coming my friend.
If Batman and Bane has a child.
Star Gate bat-mane
@@albertocortes8052 he said batman and bane not batman and Scarface lol
Absolutely amazed you didn't mention the time he snapped off Logan's claws.
so ehm, been yer vids for a couple of days now, just subbed.
I like your channel man!
you bring that CB knowledge!
straight, no chaser.
+Mr. C - 😂 Thanks bro! I'm glad you're liking the channel! I'm doing what I can! Like the icon image too man! Hilarious! 👍
Hey Chris... still got the card you were willing to find and fix the card...
Cyber was killed to harvest his adamantium in the 90s. The Dark Riders used meat eating bugs that went through his face and then his adamantium was used to make Wolverine into the horseman of Death. I have that series :)
Jack Eisenhauer I had that issue still remember it
Dark riders little bitchs!!!
This is one of Marvel's greatest mistakes is Cybers story line, they should have never killed of this awesome villain. Anyone can see that he can take Wolverine and Sabertooth based on mutant abilities and combat prowess. It doesn't even make sense how he died even back in the 90's when read about this crap. I love Wolverine, but I'm sorry Cyber is at the end of the day has too many advantages just like Omega Red. Wolverine only has the ultimate healing factor in which Cyber nearly has.
Who else is here because of the Marvel Legends Shartimus Prime reveal?
Allows liked Cyber and I think it was revealed that Sabretooth was the one who help him escape execution, was this cause Rumulus was behind it or did Sabretooth and Cyber have some kind of relationship? Either why they never seem to have any connection then that one event, but would love to see these 2 team and fight each other.
Cyber was shown to not have died but instead was killed later on by Ogun for his adamatium, since then his come back in the Hornets dead body. I really hope him trying to be a hero is a fakeout and the writers aren't doing to him what they seem to be doing to Omega Red.
Does anyone know how Cyber survived an attack from the Dark Riders? I have the Wolverine No96 that explains and shows how Cyber was eaten by thousands of Death Watch Beatles. The leader of the Dark Riders was hold the remaining Adamantium skin armor in his hands.
He didn’t he died his spirit took over a new body
Technically speaking, Cyber looks more like an Image character instead of being a Marvel character.
Agree. I think that Wolverine and Venom were vehicles for Marvel to be competitive with Spawn and other more adult/darker Image comics
3:03 "near-destructible alloy" Sounds pretty shitty, they probably should have opted for the more popular near-INDESTRUCTIBLE.
I love this channel you get explanations on characters u wud never really hear about awesome
What if Wolverine's Adamantium bones were replace with Uru metal? Not to be confuse with OwO.
Doesn't make sense that he only weighs only 365 lbs with an adamantium body. Good work though.
Yeah... That's crazy, but it is what it is! Wolverine weighs about 300lbs. with just his skeleton laced. Cyber, basically, has his WHOLE exterior covered... And he's a LOT bigger dude! IDK man?! Have a good one!
OReally just covers his skin while wolverine's bones are coated all the way through
Wolverine weighs 200 lbs solid with coated unbreakable bones and stands 5’3” tall. The added weight of the adamantium is negligible because it’s lightweight like titanium and somewhat flexible, because bones aren’t supposed to be too rigid. I always assumed that the weight would be roughly the same with or without the adamantium on wolverine but cyber looks like he is carrying around at least an extra 20-30 lbs of aluminum carapace on his arms.. he probably weighs 315-330 without the adamantium skin grafts.
New Sage where does wolvie clock in at 3 hundy? I am a 90s cat, so Jim Lee blue and gold X-Men is my bias.
@@NewSage you said Wolverine was lighter in your Hellvorine video tho
Wolverines body starts turning the metal into organic metal because of his healing factor. They talk about it somewhere but i cant remember.
Didn’t he come back? Was he ever in any cartoons or anything?
I was watching a ComicsExplained video and saw one of your videos was recommended, so I clicked the link and gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did. I can see this blowing up real quick
I see you're planning on doing more than just comics. Any chance of getting some DBZ/Dragonball Super character explorations?
Silas Burr. Cyber.
I just got it.
(I'm slow lol)
That's my name but it should be Silas Cyber Burr thank you my dear
I used to Cyber on AOL
Imagine if Cyber or Omega Red became Juggernaut... welp I'll being seeing that when I experience sleep paralysis
Such a shame that we never saw this guy on media. I wonder if Cyber could face Wolverine on the big screen who would play him? The answer may seem unusual but I will say Will Smith. Yeah Will Smith he would just need to gain more pounds and push a little hard on gym to get more muscular then he is. Will vs Hugh would be glorious.
Now maybe in an alternate reality this wicked guy (Cyber) might be the heroic warrior mutant (Wolverine’s) most difficult to deal with enemy.
This mutant villain (Cyber) might be the Wolverine’s enemy do to the fact of some unknown reason, and to add maybe the reason why Cyber uses cytological methods on Wolverine when fighting him.
Loved that run of Presents, Sam Keith did the art.
Big Dave Batista could play Cyber, in wolverine flick!...I'm just saying!😉
Bill Quick yeah maybe he and sabre tooth should have been in Logan
@@srstriker6420 Sabretooth actually *was* going to be in Logan. Liev Schreiber actually wanted to show up, but couldn't. Something to do with conflicting schedules when he was filming Ray Donovan.
@@liamroberts1458 so I heard
Captain America's shield is only vibranium in the movies because they don't have the clear rights to adamantium. In the comics the shield is "true adamantium" a stronger amalgam of regular adamantium and vibranium in a process that was lost. It has since been recreated with an infusion of magical uru metal (as found in Thor's hammer).
I honestly did not know there was so much to Cyber. Thanks for the vid.
Now you know my friend
Great videos man. Love these short, to the point character profiles. Nicely done. Gained a sub for sure.
didn t apocalypse take his adimamtuim and replace wolverines
brollicon yup
Cyber was created by Sam Kieth and Peter David. A strange character like The Maxx, Sam Keith's style.
Wolverine got his lick back eith that eye gouging
You are way too generous with your ratings. I would give him a 4 or 5
Come on now I deserve that 7 I'm really a 10
He read the story wrong at the one part in the beginning. Logan gouged out cybers eye, cyber didn't gouge out logans eye. It was the other way around. Wolverine gouged out his eye.Wolverine never got his eye gouged out till the 2099 era series in the future were he is missing a hand i believe if i can remember correctly. I gotta go back and read. I have multiple copies of all the first issues of all the series and almost every wolverine comic book that ever came out.
The Mucles keep going bigger and bigger...
He's like another sabertooth
My first real experience with cyber was in the SNES game wolverine. I had no idea who he was and didn't think anything of it and didn't care or need to learn more about him. In the game he kinda shapeshifts.. but if his skin is adamantium that would make no sense.. I guess it's just a game but you'd think they'd have done a little more research before giving him abilities for the game.
+enichols82 - Yeah. That sounds like a wack game interpretation of him. In the comics he's a true BEAST... Logan recognized that as a fact! 😅
New Sage great channel dude. Other ones like this are long and drawn out. Yours is straight to the point and well put together. Keep it up bro
hopefully they bring him back for wolverine’s game
Reminds me a little bit of wildcat, if wildcat had adamantium body armor.
Classic 90's villains. I like that Wolverine was scared of him, but felt it was a cop out that they made it a side effect of drugs. Hopefully the MCU uses him as a main villain, who trains & is later killed by Daken.
In the comic books Captains America 's shield is made of adamatium too not vibranium like the MCU.
Made of both
@@judgewilson2410 No only adamatium. I have to comic books and card to prove it. MCU doesn't follow the source material specifically.
Wow I havent seen cyber since the old days of collecting comics. Thx for the nastalgia
I rank him on one of those guys who Logan can barely go toe to toe with. Cyber tough.
Sioux City Iowa thats weird. I live there makes me happy that it's in a comic.
Definitely one of the most savage dudes in the MCU.
I always liked this character, I really want him to be resurrected. Strictly for antagonistic purposes.
The only thing I never understood is if he could check out frequencies why couldn't Logan figure out that he could be tracked and ambushed him? Another thing I doubt his tone is indestructible so if you have the power to persuade why not aim for the face all the time, you will rain and you're telling me that you can stick one and either I or both, come on, Logan being afraid and wounded is at his most berserk, how do you not understand that Logan heals he learns so if he's been tortured he's almost immune to the pain. Logan had a perfect scene when Logan actually told everyone that comics weren't honest, but they did whole truth. Also if you can fend off a Charles Xavier psionic brain hemorrhage, how his immunity just like a normal humans but much better doesn't eventually beat the artificial Venom? Nature does evolve that's the whole point of Wolverine right? I don't ask Stan Lee
I might be wrong, but I also think he has some kind of healing factor similar to Wolverine's (or at least, he ages much slower than the average human - so maybe his aging process is like Mystique's), 'cos on his Marvel Wiki page, it says he was involved in the Burke & Hare murders in 1828, which would make him 200+ years old. I know this video's been out for awhile, but I thought I might throw in that factoid.
Yes but not as good as Logan’s
@@judgewilson2410I swore there was a comic where Wolverine sliced him into pieces and he didn’t die
@@ninjaskrzypek cyber? No he’s never won a fight against cyber (small clarification I do know his soul has been in 2 other bodies the second died from I think cacarbinatium poisoning (completely misspelled) and I know he’s back now in another body and can summon demons but I think that’s it I think that one is still alive)
this guy needs a costume change stat
Just goes to show you how much better comics were back then. The art style alone is miles away in quality
Cyber was a very 90’s creation, in that he looked cool but didn’t make a lot of sense.
I was wondering why Wolverine was traumatized. But with an admanitum body I am not sure what to say about that. I could easily see why.
Logan was scared shitles of cyber never won a fight against cyber
What about when he broke Wolverines claws??? That's what I know him from
Please, you gotta do Bloodscream!!!
Annnnd now he's in Vegas, squaring off with Ben Reilly.
Maybe do a 10 second intro with clips from the character your doing your review on
Great job! I alwayz heard of thiz guy but knew little of him.
Thanks for the compliment! I appreciate the support! Yeah... Cyber is a bit throwback, but he's definitely an underrated character! Have a good one!
