    This is watch Bert videos this morning. You guys did a nice job taking down the cottonwood tree. Too bad the tripod got smashed, I thought that I was the only one that did that. I’m on number 4. One tipped over with the wind and broke ,cheaply made. Later

    Hi Bert!!😀😀
    Oops, sucks when that happens.
    Those hybrid cottonwood trees are short lived messy trees. You will probably get a lot more of them to do as time goes on.
    Take care buddy!!😀😀

    Good video 👍 I'm always impressed by tree service workers. I have a history of rope work in emergency services and law enforcement but we never had to deal with trees swaying in the wind and their inherit unpredictability in general. Sorry about the tripod but I guess it's to be expected from time to time. Be safe man.

      The swaying isn't that bad. My notch was a little off. New tripod since then.

    You and Adam made short work of that tree.

    Three trees you would much prefer to fell and
    Three trees you least like to fell please.
    Or is it simply just about location ?
    Is any tree gravy I
    On a nine acre lot w/o structures nearby ?

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  3 месяца назад +1

      Pine is best because of smell and easy to climb if needed. The least favorite is cottonwood because they stink.

  • @bwillan

    On a typical tree.. how far in to the tree do you cut the front wedge? Halfway? A third? Just curious

    • @BertsCustomCuts
      @BertsCustomCuts  3 месяца назад +1

      Typically 1/3 unless it's just a stub, then go closer to 1/2
