Katja Ebstein and Christian Bruhn were once married, have been separated for a long time, but are still in friendly contact to this day. Christian Bruhn celebrated his 89th birthday last October.
Just a shame that you didn't manage to find a version without the Irish commentator who didn't have the decency to shut up to let us hear one of the most powerful intros in Eurovision history...
The intro was ok. The outro was full blown Dusty Springfield You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.... note for note. I'll have a word with the Irish commentator and tell her not to do it again.
@@diefibo6905 and @marbe66 Nobody in Europe seemingly recorded it apart from somebody from Ireland. You should be thankful to that Irish person for going to the trouble of getting their recording and putting it up on RUclips instead of whinging and whining.
The outro is NOT note for note from "You don't have to say...". These songs are not even in the same rhythm or key. It's just the ping-pong-change between the main chord and the underlying major chord, a common phrase for song endings back then. @@millinchip2
A timeless classic. So powerful and gripping! One of my favorite German entries ever!
51 years ago. fantastic song. amazing woman.
Really beautiful song. That intro!
A revelation to see Katja, 1970 ESC, for the first time, this year, In COLOUR!!! What a great song and outfit.

In the meantime, you can find some clips without the commentator here on RUclips. :)

@@millinchip2, I just said, there are clips without the Irish commentator.
