    Astoria Park is one of the best views you could get. Next to Gantry park and Roosevelt Island. I'm hoping you explore RI whenever you can. Excellent video as always!

      Thanks Tony, I appreciate ya. You're right Gantry, RI, and Randalls have some epic city views. I've been planning to go to RI, but the weather's been complete crap on my days off and I feel like its been raining every week. Once the weather gets nicer and warmer I'll definitely head there. I just gotta figure out if theyll let my scooter in to that Small Pox Hospital area and the Roosevelt Monument area

    Thinking about maybe getting a Super73 but recently came across the Revv1 which looks great for the price! Keep up the great work. New sub👍🏼out here supporting smaller channels like mine!

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Hi Nenad, thank you for watching the video and welcome to the channel! The Super73 is a great bike but I'm not sure if I can justify it at its new price point ($4000+). There are so many other companies like Revv1 and Lyric that offer much more performance at a better price. If I were in the market now for an ebike, I would look into those companies. If the battery cells are quality, aftersales support/ customer service is legit, and parts are readily available, I wouldn't hesitate to get the other bikes!

    I have the torque update and everything you mentioned is true. Hope they make a Super 73 Rx 52v version in the future. Actually thinking of getting the ZX Miami. I know there are better and cheaper bikes out there like the Ride 1 up Rev1 or the C3 strom… I just want a lighter and smaller bike that will fit in my hatchback.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад

      Thanks for confirming! Glad to see the experience is pretty consistent across the board. I agree, for the price they charge now, they really have go to that 52v system. The Miami is pretty cool. I got to ride a 60v build on it recently and it was a lot of fun. The smaller form factor would definitely help make it more portable in a hatchback. It’s also a damn good looking bike lol. Yea, the other 2 options there are as big the Rx so I don’t think it’d be as easy to fit in a hatch

    Hey which cell phone mount is that?

      Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Orbital! This was a really cool ride because it's always fun to visit that park. I use the Quadlock Bike Mount Pro. There's a link in the description of my videos for it if you'd like to pick it up.
      I used to use a clamp like phone mount with a rubber strap that goes across but my phone still fell out when I hit a big pot hole. Trying to save $30 cost me a new iphone lol. I've been using that Quadlock for 2 years now and my phones have never broken off it!

    Great vid as always!! Question for you, is there any particular reason you went with the RX Mojave instead of the R Brooklyn? I’m looking to get one of them to replace my S2. Thank you in advance!

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Thanks Hensky, I appreciate ya! I’m glad I you liked the video. I originally got the RX because of the Grzlys, fender kit, and most importantly it came with the 4 piston tektros brakes instead of the the 2 pistons that come with the Brooklyn. With a bike this heavy riding in NYC, I wanted the stopping power. It was cheaper to buy the Mojave than buying the Brooklyn and then upgrading it to 4 piston Tektro/ Maguras.
      Hope this helps!

    Good looking bike! Why the change of helmet? Are your rear view mirrors glass? They look like they show good reflection. I like this still of video .

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Hi Michael, thanks for watching the video! Since it got warmer, I wanted to bust out the warm weather helmet. It’s been soo long since I’ve worn it and I was just excited to do so 😅. My side mirrors have the blue tinted magnification that you normally find on a car/ motorcycle. It’s pricier, but the visibility is amazing and I don’t get blinded by the glare from headlights. I’m glad you like this style of video 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

    That bike looks really good.
    Would definitely like to hear your take on the E-bike fires. My friend who put me on to the scooter recently started driving to work because the school he works at decided to ban his scooter because of those fires and even his landlord is giving him shit about it too.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Thanks RedMag, I appreciate ya. I’m really happy with how it came out, just a shame what’s happening in NYC. Even though the city will never ban it, unfortunately, the individual landlords and management companies can. I’m happy to hear that NYC is taking aggressive steps to ban the sale of the crap batteries that are causing the fires and potentially asking the delivery companies to help subsidize the cost of repairing damaged batteries for their delivery people. I’ll be talking about it in detail on my next vlog, but to give you a preview, I’m trying to work with my building to implement safety protocols.

    • @marcb2raw
      @marcb2raw Год назад +1

      @@eyebahnrides it’s riders like you who the city needs to help with better safety protocols because these guys riding around with the crap stuff won’t do anything to make the city EV friendly. A lady stopped me today to have a convo about my scooter and it was a good feeling to know people are open to the benefits of owning good quality PEVs.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      @@marcb2raw It's a shame that a small group of people are really messing things up for the rest of us that are just trying to get around. I understand that not everyone has the resources to get the quality cells, so I'm happy to hear that the Fed and State are trying to hold these billion dollar companies accountable for helping their gig workers. As for the dumbasses running repair shops out of their apartments, they can kick rocks lol. Im glad to hear that you're running into those kinds of people as well. It's so refreshing to meet people who are open to the change PEV's are ushering in

    Do you have a video on how you did the cable management on this bike?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching the video! I have a Mods video but not how I did the cable management. I actually just used a 1 inch cable management roll and split the cables up where they naturally were. I slowly tightened the roll around it to make sure I didn't accidentally break something lol.
      I hope this helps!

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  8 месяцев назад

      @@pinda0020 yup, just be careful and follow the existing split they made! I used a few zip ties inside the cable cover just to help the cables stay in place. It was much easier to cover them after. I also used quite a number of zipties on the outside of the cable wrap to keep it neat

  • @mikem4371

    I haven’t done the torque update because I kinda worry about it draining my battery so much quicker. I don’t have an extra battery yet I want to get one but you think I should wait until the battery upgrade?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Hey Mike, thanks for watching the video. I’ve rode the bike a few times with out my second battery on and honestly the difference in battery usage isn’t noticeable unless I’m really paying attention to it. I did a 20 mile round trip commute on the single battery and I used about 5% more than my preupdate single battery setup. But I’m sure there are other factors like the cold, elevation climbs, and my weight that could be contributing to that. If you’re ready to do the update, I would just do it. I personally don’t think you need to wait till you get the ChiBattery. I would’ve done it even if I didn’t have the second battery.
      I hope this helps!
