I get them out by noon and tell them new guest are checking in at 3:00 so I need to have the place clean(even if I don't have any guest coming). One time a couple looked suspicious and weren't making any attempt to leave, I had 2 friends show up with suitcases as if the were checking in. That got the couple to pack and leave.

This happened to my coworker who rented her house to provide for her 2 handicapped children. The squatters slashed her tires, broke everything inside the house, poured soil into the garbage disposal, and did so much damage that my coworker cried for days. It cost my coworker $90K to get rid of them in the end. Only in California where criminals have more freedom than taxpaying citizens.

wherever. Set them off and Make sure you leave the house and have somewhere to go. That’ll choke their asses in their sleep and give them permanent health problems. I betcha they leave then and if they ask why you set it off at night just say oh it was quiet in the house you didn’t think they was there and roaches do come out at night. Lol. Sorry bastards.

^ In this case, they weren't criminals. What they did can be viewed as "morally wrong", but, as you heard, their actions were legal by California's standards. The couple could be there up to 30 days. The woman paid them off because she was aware that them staying was totally legal- but she PERSONALLY no longer wanted them there. People need to take this as a learning lesson; if you rent out with Airbnb, stick within their contracts. When you go into other territories and extend stays outside of them, it's YOUR own fault. If she hadn't done that and the people refused to leave, she could have called the police and they would have had to go. People need to read the fine print and take responsibility of their stupid actions.

Something similar happened to me this weekend. A lady who was supposed to check-out at 11 am maximum ended up checking out at 5:30 pm. From that morning she asked to extend her reservation for two more nights which I agreed to her request… she kept putting on excuses not to pay saying the system didn’t notified her etc… at 3:30 pm Airbnb’s Ambassador tells me she is not willing to cooperate and she yelled on the phone to him saying she was shopping and she didn’t had time to attend the call. The Ambassador recommends me to set on the security alarm, which as soon as I turned it on she begs me to turn it off telling me she will be out of the house in 15 mins (she obviously lied about doing shopping and was actually at the house). I don’t understand how this lady stayed for 6 hours after check-out time without any guilt. She started insulting me calling me every bad word you could imagine, threatening me that she would sued me because I forced her to leave my home with her children. I don’t live in the same city as the house. I did what I could to prevent her staying for free. The police told me what she did was trespassing because she had no authorization to be at someone else’s property since check-out time had passed. I am traumatized by this and hopefully it never happens again.

Guess what… in many states you will have this nightmare. I’m in Texas and my renter’s GIRLFRIEND, not even on the lease, took over, changed locks, set a mattress on fire. My friend called police and handed me the phone, I said hi I’m the homeowner, no one is renting my home, this girl can’t in any way prove she lives there. They said we can’t get involved, get a lawyer. Of course like everyone I thought I’m going to drag her out by her hair. But some good friends sat me down and explained why I was not going to go near her. She DESTROYED my place. I did get a lawyer, he waited around to serve her and lucky me she did open the door. So I didn’t fly down to drag her out. I was renting to be with a dying parent, the lawyer said don’t spend more money, you’d win but she’ll never pay it. Later Facebk said “is this your friend?” And I quickly (and wisely) deleted and did not want to know where she lived or anything that could have made me lose it. I worked really hard on releasing my anger over that. The truth is Airbnb is great bc people don’t want a bad review, especially if you’re in a hot spot. This poor woman, people are broken, some do not care and are walking around soulless and sick.

There could be a bunch of drug dealers, who now live in there…gangbangers or whatever, and said, do you not go there and sneak in like your planning and putting them out, you could go to jail over this and you don’t want to, they sat me down and I have a do a four step on this. they taught me so much and they taught me that I had to get rid of the anger, so I listen to them I got a lawyer and I got them out the right way I guess. Believe me, I still wanted to go in there and get them. has nothing to do with being tough. It was logic and those guys helped me so much. Peace to you brother because if youre an ex vet, much respect to you.. I had to listen to them. No one could’ve reached me the way they did. It was so kind. I almost wish I was an ex addict because that church was so cool. They had meetings there. I just worked in the kitchen they were cool guys. It was beautiful actually. They do anger and they said we are not letting you go to jail over this. They said we do a four step because we cannot live with the kind of anger we have so we’re constantly using this thing called a forth step. It’s sad what was your part in it and I couldn’t believe that question I was like nothing they were aSHoles! But by the end of sitting there with them, they make me understand their point. Kinda along the same line is my story. I own a building with a few rental units. A bar, barber shop and two apartments. When I bought the place years ago I had a woman living in one of the apartments with two high school aged kids. She just stopped paying rent. I tried to evict her, but because of the liberal tennant favoring laws I couldn't. She wound up owing me about $6,000 by the time she moved out. She tried to get my building into the rent-assist program but I refused. Once you get in that program you're pretty much screwed. So, I had to eat the $6k.
Fast forward a couple years. Another woman moves in. She lasts about 3 months then stops paying rent, while proudly driving her Mercedes around town. I drive a Chevy. By the time she moved out she owed me about $3k.
Another tennant I had during Covid. He stopped paying rent. When asked, he said that I couldnt evict him because of covid, and he was correct, even though he was working EXTRA HOURS at the time. And, when he got his "stimulus" check I didnt see a dime. He ended up owing me $5k by the time he left. We had some mutual friends that didnt like the crap he was pulling on me. One day they showed up at the apartment and moved all his crap out, along with his worthless a$$. I had NOTHING to do with that.
So, when people bitch about rent prices going sky high, remember these stories. One of the reasons rent prices are so high... laws that allow this type of crap to happen. So far I've lost my a$$ on those apartments, and I have to make my money up somehow. The other tennants HAVE to pay their rent. Being businesses I can boot them in a heartbeat.

Similar thing happened to my sister. She had a friend from work stay with her, because she needed help, and when my sister returned from a weekend in Vegas, the friend boyfriend was at her house living there. My sister told her she cant have him living in her house, and they threaten her that they will call the cops, because she pays half the rent. Well, this was a not a signed documented agreement kind of thing, and when our family heard about what happened..It did not sit well with my brothers. They went to have the couple removed and they locked the bedroom door on them. One of my brothers kicked the door open, and they tried to call the cops but my brothers took their phones and busted it, and had them out with their belongings in matters of 10 minutes. They did call the cops from someone else's phone, and my sister spoke with the cops and told them that she dont live there, and was there for a weekend only, and she did not pay rent. The couple couldn't prove that they were living with her, and so the cops had them escorted off the property. My sister did lie to the cops, but she knew that they couldn't prove anything, and didnt want to deal with the bs of their damn rights..Give a person an inch, and they take a yard! Lesson learned!

This whole thing is a twist on the situation to make people think they can’t do things on their own.

He’s talking about the law. Many people rent homes in California because homes at expensive and all the rich people already bought them all(good luck Texas and the rest of the states where these rich people are now moving their businesses to, you’ll have the same problems soon enough). For a normal person who isn’t scamming or trying to do anything wrong, getting evicted overnight is horrible and it can take time to find another affordable place to live so 30 days is reasonable. In a situation like this, well, it’s the homeowners fault for making their home a hotel to begin with.

So the owner posted an ad online to rent his apartment once more, this time free of charge, but specifically catered to declared heavy party people who obliged to make the life of anybody staying in that apartment a living mess. Needless to say, the couple who overstayed moved out after 2 days or so. That was completely legal, too.

She was most likely advised by a lawyer to not engage and to ride it out the way she did so as not to cause more liability on her side. That way the law directly deals with the squatters rather than it potentially backfire. Clearly it's not their first rodeo, and just because you're nice and timid doesn't mean you're weak/vulnerable/unable to do anything about the situation. Just means work smart not hard.

    • @EeliusAstaroth
      @EeliusAstaroth 27 дней назад

@@Babu-kr3cr depends on your perspective and how well you handle the situation. In this case obviously it quite literally pays as she is in favor of the law thanks to her niceties rather than against. Otherwise, you can retain boundaries while still being nice, and people forget to distinguish the two as they sacrifice their protection while simultaneously putting the blame on their behavior when it's not actually the case. It's simply the easier thing to do. There really isn't any deterrent or negativity of being nice. If there is it is minimum in comparison. The main thing is whether or not you allow others to take advantage of it, and even then there isn't much to lose from it when in the face of other alternatives. Even if you fail to succeed at what you were trying to accomplish there's still lessons within that time to learn from if you allow yourself to do so. I think given the outcome and reasonings this case is a good example of that to prove otherwise. Especially since someone else here commented previously supporting that basis of debate. Yes they had to deal with the aftermath, but the other course would have led them to an even greater loss where they wouldn't even be able to have a chance to fix the damages. Even in critical moments being nice provides a calm demeanor that allows the person to think and react more appropriately to the situation. You can still defend yourself be it with words or action. Most other emotions would get you in trouble/may cause you to react in a way that ends up being more at a cost. People like this count on others to react poorly so they can continue to utilize the law in their favor whereas others who react in retaliation have the disadvantage of playing into the other person's hand. In this case, the squatters.

I don’t understand the part about them refusing to be served. The law says as long as the server found you and inform you that you’ve been served, even if you refuse to take the paper, the server can just drop it by your feet and you are still legally served. The video is clear evidence they have been served. The server doesn’t seem to understand the law and keep hoping they will actually take the paper, but that’s not required.

Washing all their dirty clothes, and when u leave the house for work they're definitely gonna search every nook in cranny in ur spot! I'd def say, things could get hectic real quick

Unfair Treatment and Lack of Customer Support: Our Airbnb Nightmare
We had a bad experience with an Airbnb booking. We initially paid for a room with a double bed, but the host later informed us that it was only for one person. They demanded an additional $40 per day for each extra person, which was not clearly mentioned in the listing. Since we booked the room for a month, this meant an extra cost of $1200, which we can't afford. It feels like the host intentionally misled us. We requested a refund due to the lack of prior information, but the host refused to refund the fee for the first 30 days and the service fee. We are disappointed with Airbnb's customer service as well. Despite contacting them multiple times, they have not effectively resolved our issue or protected our rights as customers. We feel helpless and urge all customers to unite and fight for their rights. If we don't speak up, others may also face similar problems. Let's take action and raise awareness.

The first thing that would have happened is a chain would have gone up around that fridge. No more food in the house for them. Next door removed from their room, water turned off to all but my own bathroom which would be deadbolted. Then music would be blasted at all hours day and night. That would be a start for me, by the end they were begging to leave.

I was thinking something similar. Remove all doors, change locks, remove all of my valuable belongings, turn off utilities, do whatever it takes to make it uncomfortable for them. But the best advice is to NEVER let any one move in with you unless you are willing to have them stay (for free). The only time it's "safe" is when you are a renter and you can move out at the end of your lease.

    • @user-tj1rk3sx7c

during covid no one had to pay rent for like 8 months. It was illegal to evict anyone. So alot of people were stuck in this situation for months and yes, you could be sued for "emotional damage" of having no door, they could go out to eat every day and sue you for how much it cost, you would get the cops called for disturbing the peace. In almost every state you have to have a months notice. Why people who get evicted get sympathy idk they got a free months rent essentially. Then if they pay any % of it they can basically cancel it because usually (depending on the state) the document says a specific amount and if its not that amount owed it gets thrown out. Then if you pay the months rent that was due at the end of the month it also negates it and they have to restart the process. I feel nothing but pity for the landlord that has to evict a tenant.

I had a scary Airbnb experience too, only I was the renter! I had rented from this guy who had two cats. He wanted someone to rent his place and take care of the cats because he was away. He insisted that I feed his cats only RAW meet. I thought it was weird and creepy. The cats were very strange. I grew up with cats and was a nursing mother to lots of kittens, sick, or injured cats. My house was like an animal shelter. My Mum has a good heart, so we took em all in. Point is, I KNOW cats, and these cats just weren't right. I don't know what he was doing to them. Anyway, about one week into staying there, he told me he was coming to town and he needed to share his place with me for one night. I was naive and said okay but something just didn't feel right. The bedroom was designed differently. Sure it had a door, but one of the walls had a HUGE opening in it to the living room, so there was no privacy. I told a friend of mine what was happening and asked him if I could stay with him for one night, he said "Of course!". When the guy came to town, I told him that I was staying elsewhere to give him his space, and that he could have his apartment to himself (even though I had paid for it). He insisted for us to meet up, but when I told him that my friend would give me a ride, his energy shifted. He told me that he didn't feel well, and that he had decided to stay another night "You should come stay here" he said. I told him not to worry about it. The next day, he insists again to see me, "I want to show you something in my apartment" he said. I had a knot in my stomach, I just knew something wasn't right. I decided not to mention my friend this time and told him that I would meet up with him. I told my friend what was happening and asked him to come with me. He did. When we got to the building, the guy thought that I had Ubered. When he saw my friend with me, his mood changed, he face changed color, and he got MAD. We walk into the apartment and he goes like "Look I cleaned the balcony, this is the shower, this is the kitchen" I'm looking at my friend like "Is he serious right now?". Long story short, before you know it, he was attacking my friend "You don't live here, you're trespassing". He pushed my friend outside and locked the door with me inside. Thankfully, my friend is an athlete and is very strong, so it wasn't easy to push him out, it took a while, and during that time I managed to called 911 and give the address. Once my friend was out, he yelled off of the top of his head and viciously kicked the door over and over again, this got the attention of the neighbors and the guy inside who had started walking towards me got scared. He walked back to the door and opened it. BIG mistake. My friend kicked the door into his chest and made his way in. The neighbours had called the manager by now and the guy had no other option but to let me get my stuff and leave. He then quickly took his strange unfriendly cats, ran into his car and drove away before the cops showed up. I feel very lucky, and very grateful for my wonderful friend and for my intuition. My advice to all of you is, avoid Airbnb, you never know what kind of freak you're renting from or to. And always listen to your intuition. If something doesn't feel right, it properly isn't. This man had bad intentions. Rape, murder, kidnapping, only the Divine knows...Be aware, be careful, be safe ❤️

I was thinking of it today.
Its illegal to change the locks. But I repulse blast the music as loud as I could I would put eye drops in the food.
I would put poisen ivy on the door handle (yeah it would suck but I'd deal with it)
I would hire creepy men on craigslist to come into the home that could possibly rape or murder the girls while I wasnt home
I would throw knives randomly into the wall out of the blue (cant do it near them its illegal)
I would buy live lice which is a thing and threaten to unleash it if they dont leave
I would tell the police they threatened to stab me
I pour ketchup all over what little belongings they had. If they tried to mess something of mine up I'd act like fooseytube and make them afraid of me.
